Can't imagine we haven't chatted this one yet. I currently have two Great Pyr's. Dog in my pic is a Samoyed, and the real Prancer. Most awesome dog ever. Am a big dog person here, but have had big and small, and a cat, and loved them all.

Share your heart warming dog stories and the memories they create. Ok, and an occasional story is acceptable too.

I just took my dog out to pee and poop.
I also took her hiking a couple times, where she peed and pooped.
And now she's laying down beside me, waiting for the next time I take her out to pee and poop.

Dogs are such wonderful creatures. icon_razz.gif

I had a beautiful Samoyed growing up. She was killed in front of me by a speeding car, car which didn't stop and just kept going. I never had another dog.

I used to have a Great Pyr. I can't get a dog right now, but it would be nice.

Only three days ago this member's dog story launched a "Pet Stories" thread: http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2162389

zenmonkie saidHey there. I'm not wearing any underwear, but this thread is about Pets! Share your pets, pictures and awesome pet stories. Here's mine:

    Her name is Trouble.
She's got three legs, the back one is strong as hell. She can actually jump on it, but not too high. She lost the other back leg when she was a puppy under the care of another owner, and was inherited by my partner's ex. The beach is her favorite happy place:

Walter - - a Chow/Shiba-Inu mix. Got him as he was headed to the shelter 3 years ago. (His former owner was moving to one of the co-ops in Manhattan that doesn't allow dogs and had to give him up). He's a great dog - loves his runs, and just hanging out with us. His principal occupation: Guarding the back yard & watching for squirrels. Serious work!

Have always been a big dog person - Rottweilers were always my preferred breeds - so fiercely loyal and protective.. the personality just clicked with mine.... I have had three Rotties recently, one died of congestive heart failure on the end of my bed at the age of 11 then his successor at 3 years had to be euthanased because of cascading eplileptic siezures..

I swore I'd never be able to have another at that point, my heart couldn't take the sadness of the loss..

And then I got a Golden Retriever - in many ways so different, gentle and playful - the social butterfly that she is - not so much loyal in the same ways, but willing to go with anyone who will play with her icon_smile.gif

Wow, heartless - I knew people who bought co-ops in Manhattan where the broker misrepresented the dog policy and they chose to move rather than give up their dogs. I'd never planned on getting a dog but the minute my co-op relaxed its no-dogs-but-grandfathered-ones policy I got a hypoallergenic, non-shedding white standard poodle from a breeder because purebreds need love too, and that dog paved the way towards doubling the amount of shelter dogs who found homes in the building - he was such a hit that thanks to him within a year the co-op board changed their dog policy again, allowing me to be the first in the building to have two new dogs! They are now inseparable, and whereas he'd been an alpha dog - a proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing - upon her arrival the little girl ruled the roost from the get-go. Here are some pictures, including a couple taken with me two months ago:

The white doggie in this pic is a perv. One happy morning when Bill and I were busy necking in bed, Mr Uck here slipped in and had his tongue in there with us before you could say vomit.

Not surprisingly, it was rather unpleasant.

Here in Ontario it is illegal to discriminate against renters owning dogs or any domestic pet. You can't refuse or evict a tenant over it. UNLESS the animal is causing a disturbance , causing damage or is deemed dangerous.

That long snow white fur is impossible to keep clean. But they're such fluffy cotton balls when they're freshly groomed.

And, it's always a neat sensation feeling the mushy, steaming pile of poop just on the other side of the plastic bag.

Rescued a Blue Weimaraner from the evil city two weeks ago. Yes, I really drove to columbus, the pit of America, to get a 1 year old brother for my 3.5 year old, who literally ended up in depression when his feline brother died in Dec. They get along great and everyone is so happy. And this story should continue for well over a decade. icon_biggrin.gif

Just took my dog outside for said pee and poop, but the neighbors boxers (dog variety) were already engaged, so we had pooperus- interruptus...keeping my eye on the rug-us...

Corgi owner here. Long been rumored to be the true power behind the throne of the UK, this little canine, Penelope WiggleNubb, is truly of high breeding. She has out moving around her in circles.

    Peace,
