I'm new to Boston, and I would love any advice/guidance that anyone might have for Boston Rowing Clubs.

Also: debating which gym to join.

Any help that the RJ community can provide would be appreciated.

I'll be moving to Boston in June. Although I obviously can't give you any advice, I have no qualms of sponging off you (i.e. this thread).

No idea about rowing question, but boston sports club has a few locations and you can try it out 30 days for $30.

Boathouses closest to Boston proper (excluding college boathouses) would be:

    Union Boat Club www.unionboatclub.org/

    Riverside Boat Club http://www.riversideboatclub.com/

    Cambridge Boat Club http://www.cambridge-boat-club.org/

    Community Rowing, Inc. https://www.communityrowing.org/

A coach of mine had past experience with Riverside boat club, all of which was great apparently. Then a friend of mine rowed with CRI in high school, but they also have various adult programs for recreation and competition in both sweep and sculling.

I had sex once with a Boston guy once. If you can find one who can get over that racist stuff, and he just be a normal human, the Boston guys are quite hot actually. Hell yeah, that was a memorable experience I had. The Boston guys don't quite match up to the Texan boys, but they are a close second, lol. The Irish boys, haha, nice.

If you haven't chosen yet - Community Boating is a pretty cool org. Really friendly people, lots of different skill levels.

(LOL - re: the sex. We're pretty kumbaya on the Cambridge side at least)
