Ive got stretch marks from lifting in my armpit area, anyone know a way to help with it? I see guys much bigger than me with no stretch marks. Dunno why I get them. I'm starting to get them on my biceps too. Do you think stretch marks are ugly? thanks for the inputicon_smile.gif

I have them too and they're stuck there. Someone told me to use cocoa butter I tried for like 2 months and it reduced them slightly but then I didn't bother because it was too much hassle.

At first I freaked out about them but if you think that stretch marks will ruin your chances with a guy, then a guy that doesn't like you just for having stretch marks is someone you wouldn't want anyway.

I have them bad....especially in the pit area. Too much growth! CAN'T STOP IT! AHHHHHHH. I see it has a good thing. No stretch marks = no growth. They will fade with time. Next time you go to the gym, just start checkin' out people's pits. You'll notice they are quite common.

Slow down your growth and your skin will be able to catch up. Some of it is genetic and people just get them because of how their skin is. But obviously if you grow too fast... your skin ends up stretching. Try cocoa butter and mederma. Also moisturize with lotion like crazy.

Well, at least you can say you have them from weight lifting.

I have them from being fat and gaining and losing weight.

Honestly, you are going to worry about them more than others.

Lots of advice re reducing and preventing the appearance of stretch marks on RJ, do a forum search in addition to reading people's comments here.

As to why you get them and other bigger guys don't, it's mostly genetic. Despite being "ancient" and undergoing a dramatic 80lb weight gain/loss I not only never got them, I have hardly any loose skin and the little I finally developed 'round my belly since I cut to the point of having a visible six pack will, I'm told, snap back into place within a year because I have "beautiful, elastic skin that never got stretch marks."

Lots of big young guys at the gym appear to wear their stretch marks with pride, reveling in them as a sure sign of growth. If none of the advice on eliminating the appearance of stretch marks works you may as well make the best of it!
