TrueBlueAussie saidOne ponders in your heyday of being a breeding hetrosexual father who looked down on homosexuality as something dirty and beneath you, how you would of treated one of your sons if he come out as a raging queen? Something tell me you would of been less than kind yourself.
I never looked down on homosexuality. I simply avoided it because the US Army said I couldn't be involved in any way with it and keep my career. Rather than persecute gays, as you have accused me previously without any evidence whatsoever, I in fact protected those within my command. I had, and still have, an overriding respect for anyone who chooses to wear the uniform of the United States.
You are also wrong about my 2 sons. Our youngest did in fact show gay signs at an early age. I told his mother I thought he might be gay, and she replied she suspected the same thing.
My response, then still a serving Army Colonel, was that I loved him whatever he ultimately proved to be, and that we should do nothing to interfere with his development, regardless of the outcome. Today he's a musician, pursuing a double major in music & art, though to my knowledge he has never come out.
His older brother, BTW, served in both Iraq & Afghanistan. The 17th unbroken generation of men in our family to have worn a military uniform in this country since the earliest colonial times, militia and Regular Army, now 360 years.
As usual you are totally wrong in all your assumptions, which are framed to qualify you as the only homosexual in Australia, on this site, and possibly in the entire Universe.
