I definitely think Afghanistan is the melting pot in the world. So many different features among the population, it's very interesting. If you take a look at this video in the beginning at 1:00, you can see the whole family looks very European. There's even a red-headed girl.

No sorry, they all look the same to me.

A more accurate portrayal of a melting pot would be Brazil or Israel. Those two countries have black, white, and tons of mixtures of in between. Hell even Los Angeles is more of a melting pot than Assgasistan.

This made me sad, actually...knowing that there are people is this war-torn country who dream of democracy and freedom. They are reaching for the unattainable, I fear...their future looks grim.
Between burning the Koran and having a U.S. soldier slaughter 16 innocent people, it's difficult for me NOT to understand the hatred for the American invaders.
Sure, there's a lot of propaganda surrounding the throngs who gather to protest the American presence...but I don't think this is one from which we're ever going to recover.

Afghanistan’s ethnic diversity does not mean that the members of the different ethnic groups do not interact. There is a substantial amount of intermarriage between the ethnic groups. This intermarriage tends to blur lines of loyalty between different ethnic groups. [ ] Intermarriage also means that physical characteristics may show up in surprising combinations. Red or blond hair can often be found with the high cheekbones and other features common with the Mongoloid races.

If more Americans knew that the US is basically raining bombs on groups of white people in its Afghan campaign, the war in Afghanistan would be ended tomorrow.

There is a reason that Afghanistan is called the Graveyard of Empires.

The Romans, the Greeks, the Persians, the Ottomans, the Mongols, the Russians and most recently the Americans have all tried to pacify/civilize/democratize the area.

    They have all failed.

Most Americans sadly don't know much about Afganistan, it's people, culture and history.

Given Crusader rape they used to call what is now put forth as a standard for beauty "the evil eye." Speaking of interesting Afghan looks, there are definitely some coming from the all-male audience for this Afghan bodybuilding competition:

Yeah but Afghanistan is a much older country and they've been under different empires for thousands of years. Brazil is a country founded by Europeans who decided to settle there and Israel is still a brand new country since it was created in 1947. Alot of Afghans can trace their ancestors to when Alexander the Great ruled the area.

The diversity of looks in that general region is a result of many different people interacting over the millennia. People from southeastern Europe, northeastern Africa, and southern Asia all lived and did business in Asia Minor since the dawn of various civilizations. You can even trace linguistic and cultural elements back to this area - for example, the end of the Dark Ages of Europe was facilitated by the transfer of knowledge from Islamic civilizations in Egypt and Asia Minor to Europe. The idea that enlightenment was spontaneously generated in Europe is a myth that is commonly taught.

The variation in phenotype among a group of people is an effect of geopolitical circumstance. A more contemporary example is the diversity in the Caribbean - the combination of peoples from Europe (colonists), Africa (slaves) and the Caribbean (indigenous peoples) created the diversity that is in the Caribbean islands today.

Afghan guys are pretty sexy. I should know. I had a mate once (yeah he was gay) who was Afghan. He was really nice too, I should have put a bit more work into being with him. he was one of the what some people say "asian looking one" Like in the video. He used to play Afghani music a lot, and some Kylie Minogue and various other English music... go figure. I was a bit silly and wild at the time, so it didn't happen for us. We did have sex though, quite a few times. This was at high school, here in Australia. I wonder where he is now.... icon_cry.gif
