So, this theme has been coming back to me in dreams lately.. since a few days in fact.... the theme is that I might be seeing some guy or meeting some guy.. its never the same guy, he can be a redhead, black, taller, fatter.. anyways.. so it always happens that we are hanging out or seeing each other until the end its finally about to happen and we are about to have sex for the first time... and we get undressed and begin perhaps to kiss... then I wake up.... its quite funny.. its the first time we're supposed to have sex, and I wake up before it happens haha....

    any thoughts?

    Hmmm......*takes out crystal ball*

It means the opposite will happen. You won't see some guy for a long period of time and then build up to a taut heart pounding anticipatory moment of finally going through with 'the act' *gasps melodramatically*.

Instead, you'll meet someone, hit it off swimmingly, then leap straight into the sack without time for hesitation or ponderings. icon_wink.gif

*gives crystal ball a polish, puts it away*

    omg you complicate things so....icon_wink.gif

The first scenario is your dream.
The second scenario is what will happen as reality is usually opposite of dreams (or I'd have won the $50 million lottery several times by now)

Freud would say this has to do with separation anxiety from your mother... lol...

Here's what the dream dictionary has to say...

More details will be needed - such as emotional state throughout the dream, the nonverbal/verbal feedback both of you are giving etc.

However, the fact that you keep waking up just before the kiss might mean that you fear intimacy? That's what jumps out at me from your description thus far.

Consider yourself lucky. My dreams usually start like to yours, but end with rejection... and ninjas icon_lol.gif

Hym! That is interesting since GreenHopper has some plans in his future regarding a move. icon_smile.gif

    LMAO!!!

And yeah indeed, I wake up soon after the kissing starts... its like I wake up at the kiss.. weird

As for my emotional state? It seems normal.. I mean, its what it is.. you undress and make body contact... thats it... there's not really any emotion tied to it.. as far as talking. we just talk normally and joke around before it happens.. but I can kind of see from their faces what they are thinking before they undress or make contact.. pretty standard I think

Well actually, in my dreams.. it doesnt have to take long... in one version, we meet the same day we kiss, well actually we meet outdoors and he brings me home really...In another version, we've known each other casually for a while and one day he comes to visit

Edit: btw there is a superstition in South America that the dream is often the opposite of what happens.. when in the dream there is a birth.. in reality there is a death and vice versa

Well, according to the dream dictionary link - see my post above - it doesn't have to represent something sexual.

Has something happened in your life that you find appealing, but is staying just out of reach?

It could be a job promotion, a vacation - doesn't have to be sexual - just appealing.

    Dreams meanings aren't usually literal.

Maybe looking forward to the event is more of a turn on than actually doing it....lol

Who knows, but kind of an interesting dream set.

It could point to some personality trait that you are strongly attracted too but seldom encounter. The disappointing physical appearance of the lover in your dream could represent real men that you found physically attractive but mentally banal.

Remember that everyone in your dream is part of you. Your dream indicates that you are keeping yourself from doing something for yourself - e.g. you're preventing yourself from fulfillment, pleasure, self-actualisation, knowledge, connection, self-awareness, completion... Only you know what it means, as it relates to something in your real life.
