When I look back, I always knew. However, at the time I didn`t really know what gay was, didn`t know any gay people, and was dominated by the idea that men grow up, marry a girl, and have kids. So basically I knew I was different but didn`t know why until I realized at the age of 12 or 13 that I was looking at boys in the hockey change rooms when I should be focusing on changing and getting ready for the game tehehehe

About 15, though in retrospect I was always more interested in the male anatomical charts than the female ones. Also I was disproportionately fascinated by the "penis" article in the World Book.

Technically 3 or 4 years old, although I didn't know what sexuality was. I did, however, know I was "different" and could not relate to other boys my age.

Same for me, I knew I was different but it didn't really dawn on me until I was about 13.

I always knew I like guys, maybe not sexually, when I was quite small around 5 years. I found out about Gay when I was around 12, before that I never knew gay people existed I always thought it was made up or very rare.

    12. I had just discovered masturbation and was in a stall in the school restroom going at it. A guy name TJ heard me and asked if I wanted some help. He came in and finished me off. It was confirmed 3 years later when I was again in the restroom and one of the football kids came in. He asked me to suck his dick and I did it without thinking twice.

I hear you on that I too knew i was different all of my life but i didn't analyze my attraction until i was 18, but yeah i agree with you looking back i always knew i was gay as well, but the way i was raised culture/religion/society i just couldn't admit it to myself or face it until i was 18.

Hard to tell when exactly but definitely before age 10. The first time I was asked about who I had a crush on at age 6, I was already making it up and I was aware I was lying when I pointed to some random girl in class. I knew I was different, but I had no idea what being gay was. Eventually, I found out and I started to get that tingly feeling you get when you see a boy you like.

I did and said thinks in my single digits that were obviously gay; but I had no idea what gay meant until years after not doing those things. I was over sheltered by my controlling grandmother for years. So childhood socializing was out of the question. When I did realize I was gay was a week before my 13th birthday, and being as bullheaded and stubborn as I am, I just accepted it cause it is who I am, and went on my merry way. Everyone thought I was straight then too, until a girl asked me who I liked when I was 14. Then I grew some balls and stood up for myself. Somehow my family never found out til I moved out of state.

I knew I liked guys´ bodies from about the age of 12 or 13, but didn´t understand gay til I was about 17. In my world "gay" meant

and I never related to that.

However, soon enough I discovered something more to my taste:

It was a Friday afternoon in Sister Mary Pierre's 3rd grade class back in 1966. It seems Sister was not in the mood to teach, so she passed out coloring book pages, all with the picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary (hertofore known as the BVM).

I suppose I was in a creative mood that day, as we all got our our boxes of 64 Crayola Crayons (The one with the sharpener on the back and loaded with colors like Burnt Siena and Raw Umber). As every 8 year old in the room proceeded to color the BVM in her outfit of blue on the outside/white on the inside, I meticulously colored her gown metallic gold on the outside/metalic silver on the inside, even drawing rays of metallic light emanating from her figure perched on that cloud.

As Sister walked up and down the aisles, looking over the students' work (and fingering those rosary beads that went to the floor--before Vatican II, which allowed nuns to show some hair), she stopped at my masterpiece and shreiked, "Why did you color her like that? Don't you know she is dressed in blue and white?"

Without skipping a beat, I replied, "But doesn't she get tired of wearing the same thing every day?"

And that was the day I realized I was gay.

Just out of pure curiosity, but how does one not know? I'm sure we've all played with ourselves since at least the age of 12-14. I remember I tried to get off on girls, but it took me at least 30 minutes along with having to cover up their vaginas icon_neutral.gif at least in my personal experience there was no way I could've been confused.

Lol, Idk. A lot of rationalization, I suppose. I guess I could go back and look at all the red flags, but that doesn't mean I knew back then. I didn't really start to question it until I first got hit on my a guy about a year ago, and even then I tried to forget about it. When I couldn't I slowly started to accept

LOL thanks for the story! That's hilarious. Have to say... very fashion forward outfit choice for BVM btw.

I think I was about 9 or so when I realized I wanted to be around certain boys but I had crushes on girls, too, and dated girls into undergrad. Not because I was trying to fool anybody... I seriously was very naive and didn't know a "gay community" existed until I was an adult.

I still remember seeing this one kid with his shirt off in gym when I was 13, liking what I saw, and then feeling physically sick when I realized what it meant. I was sure I was the only person on the planet who felt that way.

I wonder if he's still hot LOL

Interestingly even then I loved pics like these - nice round asses and a trace of tenderness.
