Going to Phoenix/Scottsdale for the first time ever this week and just wondering if anybody had any suggestions as far as:

    -Sightseeing
    -Clubs
    -Restaurants
    -Shopping

I'm coming from Vegas so I can make stops in between here and AZ as well. Thanks for any help!

Skip Arizona, head to San Diego.

Arizona is full of hateful old racists cooking to death in the exteme heat while they wait to die.

    Have fun!

Great time to come to Arizona, I am sure you will have a great time. Some fun things to do...

Friday Night -- Have dinner and drinks at AZ88 in Old Town Scottsdale. It's a very gay-friendly "mixed" crowd on Fridays with fun inexpensive food and premium bar. Great crowd, fun atmosphere, famous for their LARGE martinis.

Then head downtown to Rebar, which has sort of become the after-dinner gay hot-spot in Phoenix...

Saturday or Sunday during the day, try to do the hike up Camelback Mountain in the center of town. Great exercise, incredible views of the entire metropolitan area, and hotties everywhere you look. It's the ultimate "urban hiking" experience...

Saturday Night --- BS WEST in Old Town Scottsdale is probably your best bet for a gay club (if your here on a Wednesday Night, that is their big gay college night and it's always packed).

You are a bit on the brown side.

Make sure you have your "papers" and not a hint of any "foreign" accent or you'll be thrown in a jail as soon as one gay hair of you crosses the border.

Once again, enjoy your time in Arizona.

By all means, yes go to Arizona. If you love it, stay! The state can use more people who love it! If you hate it, leave... negative vibes drain those around you.

since ur coming from LV, stop at the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff. take the 89A through Oak Creek Canyon/Sedona and the back roads 2 Cottonwood and Prescott. then decide whether u'd like 2 continue the scenic route through Wickenburg, and on 2 the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix metro area), or hop on the I17.

Dude, stop hating on AZ when you don't know what you are talking about...Phoenix and Scottsdale have tons of gay-friendly places worth going to. Great hiking, great restaurants and tons of other things to do.

edit': another route is Flag 2 Holbrook. the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest is near there. then take the 70 south 2 Showlow, on thru the Salt River Canyon (breathaking drive). stop and eat in the Globe-Miami area--famous 4 it's "Mexican" food. the 60 east takes u 2 the Valley. u can stop at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum.

w/ any of these routes, u just can't lose.

My personal favorites are the endless choices of resorts and spas - a true relaxing retreat.

That and of course the outdoors and hiking. Can be a vacation for your legs.
