What song makes you shake the hardest? I mean everyone loves having a few drinks and tearin' up the floor, so tell me what song slips into your ears and comes out your feet... Does it hypnotize you? Do you loose control? Do you feel revived?

I have to know. I'm having a dance party.

I'm a big Michael Jackson and David Bowie Fan. But I can't resist Daft Punk or James Brown. I'd love to know what you guys rock to.

I LOVE Daft Punk! The new N.E.R.D. 'Seeing Sounds' is pretty danceable (not all the tracks but most). Chromeo is also very funky and danceable. Hell I could go on forever. Just check out my playlist on my profile already!

... not really sure of 'the one track', but practically anything from madonna's confessions CD *still* re-invigorates me.

ANYTIME i hear ANY Madonna song i have to hit the dancefloor and worship the Goddess.

Same with Kylie, though they don't play her as much as they should around these parts.

Beyonce can get me on the dancefloor as well.

Freemason's remixes send me THROUGH IT!!!!!!!!!!

    And Missy Elliot!

I'm with Rocco, ANYTHING by Madonna will get me on the dancefloor drink in hand, or mid-conversation. It's always fun cause of the range of dance style you can pull off from just her songs alone.

But the last song to get me on the dancefloor grinding was Soldier, by Destiny's Child so many years ago.

What's the worst part is i will know that the DJ is mixing it into a Madonna track within the first 32 counts because of the amount of Madonna remixes i have. I will look at whomever and go "Madonna... time to worship!" and run off. If they follow (ie if they know whats good for them) then it's one great big party!

Techno & NuJazz primarily. These are the songs that make me wiggle just a wee bit... while others leave me petrified as usual. I don't much like dancing and I hate disco. icon_razz.gif

Daft Punk, Junkie XL, Tape 5, Morcheeba, Gorillaz, Propellerheads, etc.

Pretty good mix, although I'm not a HUGE Madonna fan, but throw some Janet in there as well as some Hip Hop and we're good! And for Old times sake, 2 Live Crew will definitely bring out someone's inner stripper!!!

I'd love dancing with you! My fun sassy sexy side comes out when I hear Madonna songs at the club. I can dance for hours if there's a Madonna megamix playin.

There is a bunch...but I still love "I'm a Slave for You" by Britney.

Just the tribal vibe, and the heavy breathing. And maybe I watched the video one too many times, but the orgy at the end is tantalizing

So Confessions is all and well, as its made for the dance.

But double, stick with your gut. Bowie will make me dance my pants off, and probably take them off as well. It's Bowie.

You HAVE to play "Bang Bang" by David Sanborn. I'm serious. Just go get it, listen to it, and trust me. It's such a danceable song.

If you're doing drinking, throw in "Apeman" by the Kinks. That's the perfect drunk dance song. Perfect.

    "Take On Me" by A-Ha

"Dancing in the Dark" by Springsteen. Why? Only cause he's The Boss.

"Money Changes Everything", "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", and "She Bop" by Cyndi Lauper. If you're going to slow it down, throw in "All Through the Night" and "Time After Time"

"Mr. Blue Sky" and "Evil Woman" by Electric Light Orchestra will never fail to get the groove in my step.

"Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" by Elton John is rowdy as fuck. Also, "The Bitch is Back".

Most anything by Eurythmics. Think "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", "When Tomorrow Comes", and "Would I Lie to You?". Oh, and seek out "Sexcrime (1984)".

"Sexual Revolution" is just flat out nuts. Macy Gray.

Throw in some old dance tracks. And by old I mean early rock and roll. Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Del Shanno. Then some Yardbirds. Now that's a dance party.

BLAH Janet and Moo-riah make me high tail it off the dance floor in disgust.

ahaha 'the gay Madonna-lover' seems to be a stereotype i find. I have to confess I've only ever heard Hung-up by Madonnaicon_sad.gif so i think I need to check her out...

rustispassionate!! awesome choice in songs, and i like how they're rock! this is the type of music my friends would like.

I'm usually the one to pick the music cause they never bring any of their CDs or iPods

David Bowie's Rock and Roll Suicide ALWAYS gets everybody screaming and falling to the floor. one of my favourite tracks ever.

    Other good tracks:

    Super Freak - Rick James
    Bad - Michael Jackson
Billy Jean - Michael Jackson (I could go on and on with MJ)
Rock The Casbah - The Clash
Should I Stay Or Should I Go Now - The Clash
Bust A Move - Young MC
Break On Through - The Doors
    Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
    My Generation - The Who
Linoleum - NOFX (for the punk rockers, myself included)
and the songs on my profile...

thanks everyone for the suggestions so far!! keep em coming! I'm gunna try and check em all out
