Has anyone used this stuff yet? I hear great things about it, but have yet to actually see a car done up with it.

They look like plastic toy cars, that's probably why you don't see them.

So basically it's repackaged Krylon high temp paint? Personally I would get my rims done proper with powder coating instead of using this spray. For the rest of the car, take it to an experienced paint and body shop.

Just my opinion, but I think that looks awful. But then I think chrome rims, huge spoilers and massive SUVs look awful.

If it's anything like powder coating - it's shit and don't waste your time.

I have used it on a few off road trucks. It's cool as shit. When applied correctly, it looks good, it helps protect the surface, it's removable it's cheap and available in different colors.

I've used it on rims and other parts of the trucks that are subject to chips, dings & other wear.

A lot of people on the Mercedes forum I frequent use it and seem to have good luck.

My buddy's just picked up like 6 cans and is going to do the front of his 2012 Charger up tomorrow.

There are a bunch of vids on youtube about it - including one of a guy removing it from an Evo's hood that he attempted to plastidip.

I'm all for mods and expressing one's self in however they see fit, but that Phantom you posted makes me want to cry. I live a block from a Rolls Royce service center, so I see a good amount of them and have grown to appreciate them in their natural, unmodified form.

If you apply it correctly, you can just peel it off later like the vinyl...if done incorrect and splotchy, going to be very stubborn.

I don't understand why someone that could afford a Rolls would apply such a cheap product to their car...

Trust me - I wouldn't, and nobody I know or see on the roads of the Bay Area would either.

Well, maybe in the wrong part of Oakland............

If you have to "budget" to buy a Rolls....then you can't afford it.
