Any artistic types?

Hey y'all,

I've been looking around for a couple days now and it looks like there are some great people here. Among everything else, it's cool to see this many people who put serious work into their bodies. I came to the physical work I do through acting, and I always thought actors were a completely unique type until I started meeting fitness buffs.

So my question is, in addition to the real art of living life, anyone here of an creative bent? Casually, seriously, whatever . . . I saw some dancers, a couple writers, know there's got to be others out there.

Poetry, Amateur fiction, and Visual art.

EDITed at czar's urging. Samples of my visual art. 2d digital paintings, 3d models, and traditional art (actually ink on a notebook leaf. LOL) :

I'm an architect and designer. Does that count as creative?

This is a house I designed in second year of college.

This is the flagship Nike Outlet store I helped design in Portland, Oregon.

One of my thesis models.

Another one of my thesis models.

And, one of the huge houses I designed. Unfortunately, this one was never built.

I love and appreciate all art forms. They sort of reach inside of me, move me about and bring me to life over and over again. My favorite crafts, have been writing poetry and short stories; play the sax and am teaching myself guitar if those count[[?]]. I also love to sing and dance and feel somehow repressed since I haven't in a long time. Though lately most of my artistic drive has been placed in how I plate the food I cook. Working on some new techniques can't wait to get to the culinary institute to add new elements to my overall cooking, but in a weird I guess you can say that's my art form

I've seen your splatter patterns...quite good. May I add one small critique? See what happens when you drop people with their pets. It may exude a more intense aspect to the painting. Just a thought.

Hey....

Being creative is a real gift and sometimes a curse. I am never boreD and so my curiosity can get me into trouble. I have accomplished a lot with my "right side" of the brain. I do understand others who are creative also.

My hobbies would include photography, painting and writing, Strip dancing(LOL)and a few other bad boy deeds~.

My talents also take me to my work. I have my own event and design company that keeps me extremely busy. I am fortunate to go in this direction. I have enjoyed consulting and creating all kinds of things for various corporate venues.

I am not sure what label you could give me at this point. I have been call a lot of things: Designer, Stylist, coordinator, Artist and so on. Personally, I give my self the title of CEO! Why not....I am the boss...LOL

So to all who are contemplating work in the creative arts and or theater, dance and anything else creative...Just do it!! You will find your niche eventually, like me.

Cheers.

currently doing digital photograhy, graphic design, 2d texture work for 3d modeling, basic 3d modeling too. digital painter..(umm painting with tablet?)

i play piano but it's turned more into an occasional hobby. and when i do I prefer to play my own work. (i guess that's given.) big fan of music in general though.

Painting, Calligraphy, Illumination, Embroidary, woodworking. All very medieval of me, I know. I'm a History Geek and I like recreating the techniques from the past. I've even ground up my own pigments for ink and paint. I just learned some basic embroidary techniquies, so I'm spiffing up my medieval garb (gotta look good) and I'm trying to create scenes inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry.

I'd like to be a better photographer as well. One of these days, I'll take a class.

I've also been writing and rewriting my biography for a couple of years, based upon my experiance as a gay Soldier in today's deployed military.

I work with pottery. Let me tell you, working on the wheel is no where near as erotic as it is depicted in "Ghost." It is a complete bitch that likes to laugh in your face, but once you get it right she purrs like a kitten. I had some help with the first and last pieces. I'm still an amateur on the wheel.

BlkMuscleGent saidI'm into music. I sing, arrange, and write. I'm even on YOUTUBE. Check out my buddy and I singing our own arrangement of "The Star-Spangled Banner":

PLEASE EXCUSE THE BAD LIGHTING AND UNFLATTERING CAMERA ANGLE

That was pretty great! Some really cool and different harmonies.

I love music too. I sing: participated in two choirs in college and created a co-ed acapella group i arranged music for, sang in, and beatboxed. The choirs allowed some incredible experiences including performing w/ Josh Groban, Dave Brubeck, and AR Rahman.

Also do some mashups w/ audacity and re-create songs in Logic Pro when I get bored:

Someday when I get more motivated I'll try doing some original stuff

These days, I channel my aspiring-writer energies into keeping a blog (mostly for my own amusement, thought it never ceases to amaze me when I amuse others): www.prozachnation.wordpress.com. And I'm also a shameless self-promoter, which in itself has to be an art form sometimes.

I am artistic.

I love cutting pentagrams into my chest as I watch my blood fall like the rain of many melancholic storms while chanting dark and releasing hymns to the Dark Lord, Inuyasha, admiring my DBZ poster, and all-the-while managing to have Naruto gracefully hold me in his loving arms.

I am a catch~ Yet you cannot touch~

I like to practice my aerial skills. Its really fun when you discover something else you can do on the apparatus (strength, visual, sequence/choreography). Nice to improv and see what a piece of music makes me do. Also like to photograph interesting moments. Examples in my profile.
