I want to not see the love of my life for the whole day, up until the wedding music begins. I want all things gay presented respectfully throughout the ceremony. Also, there will be 3 versions of each picture. The formal wedding, the silly wedding and the wild wedding! And guest get pictures from each wedding upon request icon_smile.gif

JPtheBITCH saidI think it's wonderful that you young gays can dream about things like this. And even make it happen.

This wasn't even on the radar when we were growing up.

I make sure to enjoy this, because men and women of your generation suffered so much and couldn't do this, then. I don't take for granted at all. I saw my older gay cousin come home bruised and beaten, but not defeated one day in Tucson. That is when I learned what gay was, by definition.

Big ceremony with a quiet prayer at church.

kind of an astronomy theme with the two floor hall covered in stars
    galaxies, and planets
with Me and my groom wearing a capes.
Live performances by Yellowcard, Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, and Enrique Iglesias.
Four tower, three layer cake (chocolate, Vanilla, Tres leches, cheesecake)
A large video gaming room so the kids can have fun too (and i play a little when im bored)

yeah my wedding is gonna be a strange one icon_smile.gif

As 'heteronormative' as it sounds... I do want a wedding. I want to get in front of my family and friends, and have them bear witness to a promise I am making. A promise I am making to the person I love.

Sappy? Yes... but its so fulfilling to me.

Yep, I'm with you on this one. Just give me the one I love and let me share my interpersonal feelings with him and then shower him icon_redface.gif ah...with love that is icon_smile.gif

I do want a wedding one day, but I guess I'm the odd one out for wanting something classic yet simple.

Some of these weddings sound like Essex or gypsy weddings which, although fun to watch and attend, couldn't be further than what I'd like...saying that I'm not all that fussed about the details so if my fiancé wanted something specific I'd probably go for it.

That show has single-handedly put me off wanting a wedding. I'd put those bitches to shame. My groom would need to be bullet proof.

Simple is usually better. So many people waste so much money wasted on what is the supreme confection of all events... usually far to sugary and pretentious for me.

The important thing is sharing the event, and having a good celebration, You really don't have to spend a lot of money for that.

Nothing fancy or difficult.....I'd like a simple wedding in a place that's meaningful to both of us with our closest family and friends there to witness our promises to each other and then celebrate and have a good time with us.
