What assertions? That he may have smoke pot? That he was suspended from high school where he was an A-B student? Or the fake pictures that the right-wing is throwing all over the Internet?
How is any of that germane when this kid was stalked and shot to death by a self-appointed "neighborhood watch captain"?
It's not germane that he was suspended multiple times from school. The media first attempted (as did his family) to portray this kid as a Skittle-toting innocent teenager, when that simply may not be the case. Witnesses saw this kid beating on Zimmerman. I'm not taking any side here, but merely pointing out that a rush to judgement may be clouding the truth and how this all came down. If Zimmerman is guilty, hang the guy out to dry, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt just as the killed teen does.
I love that Trayvon is somehow the threat when it's Zimmerman who was hunting him with a fucking gun. Trayvon was never even suspended for anything most people haven't done, he just got caught.
Lets not forget Zimmerman is the son of a judge and made his priors (violent) disappear (with which he never would have gotten a gun I hope).
Let us all acknowledge that you a quoting from a source --- "GAWKER" --- LOL! That's priceless! Most people never get suspended from school at all --- let alone 3 times. I'm not saying this kid was a bad apple, but he is clearly not the innocent sweet kid that he was originally portrayed as. We don't know that Trayvon was NOT a threat -- maybe he was. We do know that Zimmerman ended up bloody, bashed, and bruised after his encounter with Trayvon, during which time witnesses claim they saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman beating him. It's not all that big of a stretch to wonder if Trayvon was, in fact, up to no good and, just like he "got caught" in school and ended up suspended multiple times, maybe this time he "got caught" messing with the wrong person and ended up dead. Suffice to say that, hopefully, the facts will come out and the truth will be revealed. If Zimmerman is found to be guilty of murder, he will deserve whatever punishment he gets.
