So, I'm assuming (yes assuming) that nearly everyone was in the closet (or still in like me).

Well as you can see this is how I communicate with the gay community (through online) because I would die if I came out at my HS (thank god I'm graduating). It's one of those private, conservative high schools that tries to say that they're equal and all that which is a load of crap.

I have met some gay people through online (through a different site), and two of them creeped me out and the other 2 were pretty cool and so on. However, it still is hard for me to live an open lifestyle due to a plethora of reasons. I know it will all get better when I finally move away and go to college, but it is so frustrating not being able to at least have any good gay friends or anything or have the chance to explore more about myself and what type of people I feel like I want to date and etc. Sure I have general concepts and ideas, but it all depends on who I meet and so on.

So....when you had your closet door locked and played with your hangers and drew on your shoes in there, how did you find a way to meet other gay people (online, sneaking out, coming out to close friends)?

Thanks guys. Sorry if this seems like complaining, not my intention.

I came out in 1991, when it was still illegal in most states...not to mention hated by most people...until you confront them and tell them to shut the fuck up and get over it.

Ok, so I got bashed a little bit, but a shotgun works wonders against a gang of fag bashers.

You've got it made now, dude. Come out. People will change their tune a lot quicker now than they used to. The ones who bash gays the most are the ones who'll end up being your best friends.
