This movie had a lot of problems, but I can't say it wasn't entertaining. I thought it was very unrealistic that almost all of the contestants were so eager to kill without remorse.

i did like the movie, however it really did not get into a lot of the details that were in the book....i was disappointed in the lack of connection between katniss and peeta before the games began and the book really put a lot of emphasis on the tension in the games where the movie kind of desensitized the violence a little bit

This is Cato, the blond killer from District 1. His father is co-chair of Lion's Gate Entertainment. Given that and his looks, think he has a future in show biz? BTW His real name is Alexander Ludwig.

Many of them were not. If you noticed the contestants from the upper districts were the ones who killed without remorse because they volunteered to fight. It was an honor and they had been preparing all their life. The lower district kids were opposite.

Welcome to SwimguyChicago's thread. Apparently he is some rich guy who drives around in Land Rovers to pick up blond boys.

Instead of being a little bitch, why not just make a direct comment. If my comment was "in the news", then no I did not see it. That was my own thoughts on the film.

Ludwig is not hot face-wise. I'll take Liam's older brother

In the books it was explained how they were trained to kill, the ones in the rich districts were trained to kill unlike Katniss.

I think the Hunger Games is a metaphor for war. It has strong anti-war themes. It is similar how the countries of the world send their young people to fight and kill each other in stupid, pointless wars.

I think you misunderstood. If you read the news, you see that kids kill kids all the times in places like the Congo and Darfur. My point was only in a sheltered environment like the modern West do kids have the luxury of not killing.

Josh Hutcherson was very attractive but more so because he came across as a great guy. He just seems deep down like a really genuine guy on and off the screen- saw him on David Letterman and I really hope the best for him- perfect dream guy! Miley Cyrus' guy and that Kato guy lack depth- they just seem like pretty faces who probably label their food in the refrigerator and know they're hot (unattractive). I like the boy next door good guy though and have no interest in bad boys so maybe I'm biased ha.
