NY Daily News“Usually he was just a cool guy. He liked to drink and hang with the women like the rest of us,” he said. “But it was like Jekyll and Hyde. When the dude snapped, he snapped.”

The source said Zimmerman, who made between $50 and $100 a night, was let go in 2005.

“He had a temper and he became a liability,” the man said. “One time this woman was acting a little out of control. She was drunk. George lost his cool and totally overreacted,” he said. “It was weird, because he was such a cool guy, but he got all nuts. He picked her up and threw her. It was pure rage. She twisted her ankle. Everyone was flipping out.”

The year 2005 was a bad one for Zimmerman: he was arrested for fighting with a cop trying to arrest his friend for underage drinking, and he and his ex-fiancée took out protective orders against each oth

There's a report on the prosecutor who's handling the case. Apparently she's one tough cookie. It looks like we're going to see a trial and a possible conviction.

SANFORD, Fla. -- The special prosecutor leading the investigation into the shooting death of an unarmed black teen by a neighborhood watch volunteer is known for her tough tactics aimed at locking up criminals for long sentences and making it difficult to negotiate light plea bargains.

Furthermore, 57-year-old Angela Corey has handled hundreds of homicide cases involving the justifiable use of deadly force – experience that could prove invaluable.

All sides say she is tough and fair, from what I've heard. If she decides there is no case, will your opinion of her change? And after all the inflammatory statements, if that does happen and there is rioting and deaths, will some responsibility fall on the media and others who have fanned the flames? 53 people died during the Rodney King riots. Would be a shame if something similar happens here.

I would be disappointed if she reaches the conclusion that there is no case.

If there is rioting, those responsible are the rioters, not the media.

    WTF. Dude .......

He's the son of a retired Judge and the son of a sitting Court Clerk
He also has a resume of three closed cases in his file
The first is a domestic violence dispute
The second is a resisting an officer without violence
And the THIRD is a resisting an officer WITH violence

Now whether he is Latino or not ..... His mother ... Who is the Court Clerk
    Is Peruvian
There are legitimate questions as to whether there was family influence in getting these cases closed ...as well as influence within the Sanford Police dept in getting this investigation squashed
Because the lead investigator in this case HAD REPORTED THAT HE BE CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER

So in your world, either there is no such thing as inciting or it's not a factor. That would be convenient so you don't have to hold accountable the left's favored media personalities, including Sharpton, along with Jackson.

    No, socalfitness.

I see nothing in the mainstream media reporting of the Treyvon Martin tragedy that is indicative of inciting a riot. From the words of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, two men who I assume you abhor, I have heard nothing in their speeches that neither explicitly nor implicitly calls for social disorder as restitution.

You can call it as you will. Sharpton did not suggest disorder, but when you fan the flames as he did, there is a likelihood it will occur. He can say his hands are clean because he did not suggest any riots should occur.

He cited two black men, solely "guilty" of trying to get justice for another, young black man, who was murdered by an armed vigilante and then let go by the police, as trying to incite a riot.

Why isn't Hannity trying to "incite" a riot when he spends his entire show for the last two weeks smearing the dead black teenager?

socalfitness, sounds to me as though you are straining to spread the blame. I would not call speaking out on what someone views as an injustice as fanning the flames. They were not incendiary in the least.

As I said before, the only ones to be blamed for a riot are the rioters. Just as the rioters were solely to blame for the riots following the mistreatment of Rodney King Jr.

While Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do have some spotty track records when it comes to discussions of race, there is no doubt that they have legitimate claims and concerns, racist white people just like to pretend that they speak for ALL black people/black issues.

The hard leftists have always thrown out the racist label pretty loosely, but it has gotten to the point that anyone who is not calling for Zimmerman's immediate arrest and conviction is racist. I have also noted that Sharpton and Jackson have been fanning the flames, so that also makes me racist. No point trying to reason with him or his ilk. They have the hope that if they can call enough people racist, that will somehow diffuse criticism of anything the liberals champion, especially Obama, so that will help his reelection. Just makes them look like fools.

Actually, John, it's you who have become unhinged. Despite your assertions to the contrary, the more Reversible Mittens implodes the screechier and less rational you become.

Hannity has had every low-brow racist douche bag in the right-wing media on his show to smear Trayvon Martin, his family, and even the president. That you pretend he is some objective actor calling for restraint is ludicrous. God, even Joe Scarborough finally had to throw Hannity under the bus.

And no one is calling for Zimmerman to "be convicted." We are calling for his arrest in the face of overwhelming evidence of probably cause and an either bungled or purposefully shoddily run investigation.

And calling for justice is not "fanning the flames". Did Jackson or Shartpon call for vigilante justice? Did they tell their supporters to engage in illegal activities? Have they even hinted at rioting being the solution?

Or have they coordinated peaceful demonstrations to bring attention to bear on what would otherwise have been the murder of a young man by an armed vigilante swept under the rug?

As usual, you're completely one-sided attacks (where is your critique of the Zimmerman family's claims that President Obama is inciting hatred?), say more about you than me or anyone standing up for Trayvon.

You hope it were that way. I'm glad the primaries are winding down so the full attention can be directed towards Obama. With the possibility of Obamacare being thrown out, which you all were so arrogantly pompous about, you're now scrambling and getting ready to add the Supreme Court to every other organization to be blamed for the ObamaFailure. Not overconfident, but I'm feeling pretty good, especially knowing some of what's in store for the hard left.

Hannity has had every low-brow racist douche bag in the right-wing media on his show to smear Trayvon Martin, his family, and even the president.

Crazy. Everyone who is not calling for immediate arrest is a racist. And getting Zimmerman's side means smearing Martin. Typical.

And no one is calling for Zimmerman to "be convicted." We are calling for his arrest in the face of overwhelming evidence of probably cause and an either bungled or purposefully shoddily run investigation.

You can call for whatever you want, but the authorities will make that determination, and they have a competent prosecutor investigating. Her office will make the determination, not demonstrators in the street, not liberals wanting to make a cause.

And calling for justice is not "fanning the flames". Did Jackson or Shartpon call for vigilante justice? Did they tell their supporters to engage in illegal activities? Have they even hinted at rioting being the solution?

All he is to you is an excuse to fan the racial flames, so you can continue to make absurd charges of racism. Nothing new. That has always been an agenda for the left.

Zimmerman is innocent! He did NOT want to kill Trayvon Martin. And eye witness had seen Martin attack Zimmermasn! Why ca't people leave Zimmerman alone? Ignorant racist haters claimed falsely Zimmerna was a racist, The FBI investigated and found he was NOT! Before Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman, Zimmerman tried to help a homeless black man. After he was set free, a week ago, Zimmerman helped to save lives after a car crash! he is a god man, he had a right to defend himself against a thug like trayvon Martin. Martin liked to fight and hurt people, he was suspened many times for fighting. Martin also had stolen goods in his locker and tools he used to break in and steal things with. Trayvon was a bad thug, I am happy Zimmeran lived through the attack.
