Good news. My attorney in Florida closed on the sale of my beach front home in Volusia County on Thursday. I had owned the home for 8 years. Of late, it had gotten to the point that there was entirely too much foot traffic at odd hours of the night along the beach and highway from which you entered the property. I do still maintain a home in the flyin in Port Orange.

I'm scheduled to head to Palm Beach County in 10 days or so to look at two new beach homes. Both sit with heavily secured communities and on private beach. A rarity in Florida, but this is Palm Beach County.

My favorite of the two sits on 4 acres. It is also significantly larger than the home in Volusia, which was around 12,000 feet. My second retirement is approaching, so I'll have more time for friends to stop by a visit for a few days.

Be careful of those Skittles folks, they may wham you.

Wow, that's really impressive. It'd be nice to have that much money, but I don't see that in my future. One can dream icon_smile.gif Good luck picking out a new beach home.

Why not? Wouldn't it be a shame that you do not accomplish that solely because you don't think you can?
