My progress: Skinny to Fit

Usually don't create threads but I felt this deserved one.

I used to be the typical skinny guy. Never played a sport in high school and didn't know anything about exercise or weightlifting. Had pretty low self esteem and generally didn't care about how I looked.

Not quite sure what happened but one day decided I needed a change. My mother had bought p90x, and I figured I would give it a try. It was hard at first (I could barley do 10 push-ups) but I stuck with it anyways. Now I workout in a gym with free weights going anywhere from 3 to 5 times a week depending on my schedule. Went from 130 to 150. Took my about year but that is due mostly to the fact that I stopped a few times and don't pack on mass that easily.

    Tips to other skinny guys:
    1) Never give up
    2) Do your research
    3) Always try to be better than you were before. 5 more pounds, 2 more reps, etc.

Special thanks to all other real jockers out there for being such a big inspiration to me!

Congrats man, I was pretty much in the same body type as you before starting about 6 months ago. Nice to see what I can look forward to as expectations in another 6 months icon_smile.gif Though I'm not doing p90x, formulating my own workouts.

Yeah I stopped doing p90x a while ago, it was a good jumping point for someone who know absolutely nothing though lol.

Such a great antidote to all the other "looking for a silver bullet to transform my body completely in two weeks without learning anything or doing any real work except for whining about my lack of progress" threads.

    You rock.

    Oh... And....
