hello. I have been going to coutney's gym in my local area. This is the local westminster council gym, which i chose because i thought it had a sort of small gym feel, yet had a pool which i something i really value. I turned up, and it has been over a year since i regularly worked out, so I am not sure of the correct posture for the machines e.t.c. AND if you have bad posture and no one shows you how to use the machines properly, then it is a fast track to irreparable damage. The people there wouldnt show me unless I paid for personal training which unfortunately I just dont have the means to do.
SO I have decided to quit.
Does anyone have tips on which gym to choose?
I was thinking U.C.L. gym would be a good one?
All i really want is a gym which has handy instructors who can show me if im doing it improperly and a pool.
U siad it, the ULU, UCLs gym... was excellent. its a university gym, but is is very modern and clean and i think good. i used it extensively while living in London. highly recommended.
I tried out gymbox in Covent garden a couple of weeks back and that was pretty good. Otherwise there's the usual La fitness and fitness first around which are pretty good value but usually a bit dirty. You'll get more attention with them though than you have been.
