I'm helping out with the community egg hunt on Saturday. Tonight, I'm helping to stuff the eggs. We get the neighbors to donate the eggs and candy and they drop them off at my home.

Since it is a community event, we don't call it Easter. The original egg hunt was a pagan event anyways. The egg represent fertility. I don't think that the Christians really had any original ideas when they were making that stuff up.

FYI, don't get your plastic eggs from Walmart. They are impossible to close without taping them shut.

Had a coffee-date with a guy I met online. Nice guy; not sure how much chemistry we had.

I rather enjoy my boring sit around a table talking about a "hike." It provides a sense of continuity, belongingness and community without which my life would feel empty and sad.

Holi is a beautiful festival. I have enjoyed the several times I've been. :-)

Exactly. Jewish holidays are so full of the sense of connection to our history that even an atheist like me relishes observing them. Not for the Invisible Friend business but for a sense of being part of an unbroken chain of history that goes back almost 5800 years.

Thats actually why I keep most of my traditions.. only for that reason.. i think its a necessary part of the human experience.. without it, i feel existence can be lacking and empty...

Something else for my birthday on Saturday.

(I was born on an Easter Monday, glad I didn't get any extra "eggs")

No plans. Have to finish schoolwork first. If I finish early, maybe I can get out of the house for a little while.
