    Why?

And oh, I already made a thread about this here:
    http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2262158

But it's in the gay news & events so it got swallowed by a sea of threads with gays complaining about something else. So I brought it here. And I made this god damn video myself.

    SPREAD TEH WORD!

There's like....no response to this. lol....I do something nice and good and....it's a total flop.

Next time someone says to me "why don't you use your talent for good" and I'll give them this link, along with the response, "I've tried but the truth is no one else is really good so no one responds."

I already knew about this via Facebook Jake and I will go even though I prefer Caribou Coffee hands down over Starbucks. BUT....You, sir, are a good egg for doing this and redoing it as a reminder! icon_biggrin.gif

You're Awesome, and I will; just have to convince my family to go on the way to the restaurant for my nephew's birthday that same day!

It's funny, before I even clicked the vid I thought "How sweet, he's using his talent for good instead of evil!" You do it for karmic points, Grasshopper.

Years before "Starbucks" and "Central Perk" from "Friends," when coffee consumption amongst the young was in decline, when I'd meet friends at real NYC coffeehouses like La Fortuna where they'd nurse pastries whilst slamming back shots of "hard" espressos, I visited this revolutionary new coffee shop with comfy chairs and overstuffed sofas, books and board games in Los Angeles on Santa Monica Boulevard and thought "if I could open something like this in New York I'd make a mint." Never did though because while I found the marriage of ice cream parlors and coffee shops brilliant I always thought the concept pretentious and the naked practice of hooking children on caffeine as obnoxious and against my principles as "Joe Camel." I particularly avoided Starbucks and its ilk, and in fact have only been to a Starbucks maybe three times in my life. (Those "Glee" scenes with Kurt and Blaine establishing mocha lattes as the new normal for high school sophomores? Retch!) But for you, Jake, I'll go on the 21st. Does that help?

OMGosh. You do the same thing? I don't feel so alone now. icon_lol.gif

But in all seriousness, I rather enjoy Starbuck's when I can't make it to a local coffee shop. And their Blonde Roast is quite good. And Starbuck's has always been good about supporting the LGBT community, to my knowledge, as well as various other important causes.

Tried the most caloric tea I've ever had (chai). Ordered from a barrista. Feeling impossibly cool.

Small towns in the south that are not right off an interstate do not have a starbucks. Fact of life. :-( It would be at least a 2 hour drive to the closest one. - Gas prices are too high for that right now...

The baristas all had on their "coffee pride" shirts today...of which the coffee cup on their shirt was colored as a rainbow.

    How cute!

There's not even one near the front of the grocery store or at the mall?

Town is too small to have a mall...

Grocery stores are Harp's and Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has McDonalds. Harps has nothing. - I told you - it was a small town. I am afraid you wouldn't know what to do with yourself. I don't even have a Target - (pronounced Tar-zzhhhayy) - Those usually have a Starbucks. Literally no starbucks anywhere close by.

I am about 2 hours away from Branson. That's the closest Starbucks that I know of.
