JakeBenson saidThere's like....no response to this. lol....I do something nice and good and....it's a total flop.
Next time someone says to me "why don't you use your talent for good" and I'll give them this link, along with the response, "I've tried but the truth is no one else is really good so no one responds."
It's funny, before I even clicked the vid I thought "How sweet, he's using his talent for good instead of evil!" You do it for karmic points, Grasshopper.
Years before "Starbucks" and "Central Perk" from "Friends," when coffee consumption amongst the young was in decline,
when I'd meet friends at real NYC coffeehouses like La Fortuna where they'd nurse pastries whilst slamming back shots of "hard" espressos, I visited this revolutionary new coffee shop with comfy chairs and overstuffed sofas, books and board games in Los Angeles on Santa Monica Boulevard and thought "if I could open something like this in New York I'd make a mint." Never did though because while I found the marriage of ice cream parlors and coffee shops brilliant I always thought the concept pretentious and the naked practice of hooking children on caffeine as obnoxious and against my principles as "Joe Camel." I particularly avoided Starbucks and its ilk, and in fact have only been to a Starbucks maybe three times in my life. (Those "Glee" scenes with Kurt and Blaine establishing mocha lattes as the new normal for high school sophomores? Retch!) But for you, Jake, I'll go on the 21st. Does that help?
