Has this ever happened to any of you? (while you were in the closet which I hate!) My brother comes into my room randomly talking about my friends (the girls) and he keeps suggesting I date them or ask them out or whatever and why I don't ask them out and all that crap. I just say I'm too busy right now to care and have other things on my mind but he keeps persisting and it gets so frustrating hearing him talk about how I should make this girl dump her boyfriend for me and the amount of crap just gets so annoying where he keeps questioning me about girls and all of that!

I literally felt like just screaming out "I AM GAY!" but I just can't do that right now which pisses me off so much! Did anyone else have to put up with this and if you did do you have any tips on the days when it just gets so frustrating to stay in the closet?

Haha trust me I deal with the same things on a daily basis.

Mom walks in the room: "Hey Josh why don't you go out with that cute girl from work."
Me: Just focusing on school and stuff.
    Mom: Well she's nice
Me: I don't have time to deal with that right now
    Mom: WELL I WANT GRANDKIDS

When I lived in Dubai Cab drivers always ask where your wife is, being illegal to be gay I thought I'd tell them Im divorced, thinking that will shut them up, nup. I'd say its cheaper being divorced. lol

Some days I just wanted to scream from the roof tops, it was so frustrating. Eventually abunch of us would go camping in the desert which allowed all of us to scream out "IM GAY".

    I feel for you matey,

    I've had worse.
"Hey, why don't you go out with X. Her friend tells me she's interested in you"
"Umm... did you forget that I'm gay?"
    "oh... yeah..."

You should wait 'til Easter dinner to do that.

    Holiday traditions should be honored.

It can happen even now.... I have people who say, "I'm amazed you don't have some nice girl". I usually have some good comeback. No biggie.

Well I'm glad some people understand. Guys on this site think that I want to be in the closet when I don't, it's one thing to come down on someone for not accepting they're gay and another to come down on someone who accepts it but the situation doesn't allow them to be out and proud like the lucky guys on this site.

PS: For the ones saying they have a comeback, aren't you all out of the closet already?

I feel ya mate.. last night my phone kept going off and my ma asks "who are you texting, your gf?"...then I just shrugged it off and she starts saying how she never saw me with a girl. She says "do you like girls?" ...no response. So awkward. THEN..."do you like boys"...long long pause. A min later, I said f--- it, and came out telling her I'm gay. Even though she basically outed me, I am relieved to finally have that off my chest. She took it well, and is supportive.

    then today...

My sister and I went to visit my gram in the hospital who just got back from FL. During the visit, my gram asks me if I had a gf, and I replied "not at the moment." Then my sister laughed and says "not at the moment, you never brought a girl home, ever." Repeating this at least 3 times to my grama nd cousin. Ridiculous...lol

And you should tell your mom .... Finding a partner for life is not like going out and getting a pair of socks ... It's more like buying house ... you don't buy the first one you see with a for sale sign on it

Personally, I'd rather rent right now. Possibly lease, but with minimal security deposite. icon_twisted.gif

Ignore it long enough and they'll start realising you are not interested in girls and probably gay. That's how they found out about me. I was 22 btw.

well she probably didn't mean it in the sense that she wants you to have kids soon, I think it was her own way of trying to suss out maybe if you were into girls or not. Not sure, but it's a possibility.

I totally feel you, hahahaha even when it came to telling my family things (though I'm not out to all of them) stuff that was just personal and I didn't want people to know, I would get sooo frustrated when they would accidentally say something that would be referring to what I told them in privacy.

To the friends that I've come out too, they thankfully are cool with it even to the point where they make jokes about it loudly.

I bought a tee shirt that said " The family tree stops here with an arrow pointing to my personals and they all got the message without needing to get too personal or out of their comfort zone or mine I was 14 at the time lol ,but we Aussies have a quiet different outlook on family interactions !
