Right now I've been adding:
-raw oat meal
But I'm looking for more ideas to switch it up
I find that mango, pinapple, and banana go quite well together. Mango and pinapple can both be purchased fresh or frozen at walmart and wherever else. =D I prefer to use frozen because it will make it really thick, for a couple of other reasons which i won't explain.
I also like to use peach, because it will thicken the smoothie, and because they are nutritious, and because they are my favorite fruit. They go well with banana. Im not so sure what else.
I enjoy putting spinach or kale in my protein shake. Kale is very nutritious, and very high in calcium, but it does affect the taste. So, if u don't want a smoothie that tastes like kale, you might like to use spinach. Spinach doesn't affect the taste nearly as much and it is still very nutritious.
Flax seed is high in omega 3 fatty acids, and it is a wonderful addition to a protein shake.
I had an avacado flavored smoothie once! With experimentation, i think it could make a wonderful protein shake! Kiwi is also great! leechee is kind of expensive, but its really delicious. Blueberries go great with banana! especially if your using vanilla protein powder.
