Chaps, lassos, steers and tight pants were all present at the Colorado Gay Rodeo at the Jeffco County Fairgrounds in Denver. I was there to get in on all the action (and I mean in all the action***wink***wink), and I'm excited to say that we had a rowdy good time.

Something about those cowboys makes me hot!!! Check out the photo gallery I shot at Denver's Gay Rodeo!!!

Well, I grew up in the Dallas/Fort Forth area so I'm a big cowboy lover. There's nothing better than a strong man in a pair of tight jeans!

The only real big event (other than the annual pot harvest) in the little town in Northern California where my grandkids live is a professional rodeo. Always try to fix it so we're visiting while that occurs. Our 5-year-old grandson has stated his ambition to become a professional bull rider. I think we're doomed.

I'm more attracted to the bull riders. They have a no fear-live or die commitment to the sport.

I develop a nasty cowboy fetish after watching Brokeback Mountain. Not only I love and get hard on seeing guy wearing cowboy outfitt. I myself dream to be one someday. One of this days I retire my city, stressfull sitting in front of my laptop job and move to a village and live in a farm. I gonna be a farmer wearing a cowboy hat , boot raising chicken and other lifestock, planting crop under a bluesky and breathing fresh air. One of this days..........

Sorry Jay,

I love the outfit. The masculine and tough look but not the smoking part. Marlboro man die of lung cancer and that not sexy at all.

I can't stand cowboys... It probably started when I was younger and with my bias of the ultra-religious/segragated/anti-intellectual south/midwest. I'm a beach and city boy. I also hate country music.

That's probably why I never saw Brokeback mMountain. If it took place in a city or involved people of an intellectual profession, I may have gone to see it.

I view cowboys as dumb, gun-shooting, tabacco smokin'/chewin' "machismoistic" bums. Huge belt buckelt, cowboy hats, and stirrups are a HUGE turn off for me. I'd rather see a hottie in medcial scrubs, a lab coat with glasses, or as teacher/professor/student carriing books and a calculator around. To me that's much more sexy... because... Intellectuals = Hotties!

Then it would have been a completely different movie. There is life outside of the gay ghetto.

Hmm, my type of topic. one having competed and won a few buckles (Ima roper) I cna say no one thing does it. Ad a hat and instantly they go up in looks. The wrangler butts, well nothing finers.Typically you ad this great personailties and you get a great total package. Also who doesn't like a man who can ride for more than 8 seconds

Yeah...they are hot because they are real. But doesn't a city gay boy look ridiculous when he dresses like that?

Cowboys are hot because they are tough. They can take a licking and keep on ticking. But if they bullride for too long and get all messed up.. not so hot.

I know so many ropers that are pretty boys. Bull riders (and roughies in general) have usually been kicked in the head one too many times. Bull doggers are where its at for me. Mmmm.

Blah, most of those pics look like models in a cowboy hat, not cowboys....

Which is part of my problem, I don't want a guy in a Cal-Store hat and buckle, I want a guy who can saddle his own horse and doesn't mind getting dirty.

PS and who rides steers? That's for like Jr. High kids....

Actually, to just rephrase the whole subject of this thread, I like

Men in chinks, with ropes, who ride quarter horses.

I have ridden and love cowboys, but far from an expert. I do intend to attend the Big Houston Rodeo this year and one year I worked down on the emergency medical for our local rodeo and treated several cute bull riders.
They were so sexy...........It was hard not to treat them too good if you know what I mean.

The whole playing dress ups thing has never really worked for me. Not cowboys or bikers or drag or leather or rubber. It all seems a bit forced. Like wearing gang colours so that you can fit in. I like people to be comfortable in their own skin without the need to give in to peer pressure. But, whatever floats your goat.

Thats true. However sometimes you need to excuse people. Like me I love to dress like cowboy eventhough I work in the office and sit infront of the laptop. But I dont do it because I want to dress up, show off to other people. I do it because I enjoy and cormfortable with it. I have plan to be a farmer/cowboy somedays , when I retire from my job now. Dressing up like cowboy is all I can do for now until the real deal come along.

Lol..This guy si svery funny. many of the items worn by cowboys, ranchers and such are worn for a very specific reason. I where chaps (chinks, short chaps) for a specific reason, they help you stay in the saddle. I wear spurs during certain times as well to help control the horse. Before you go telling people that cowboys dress up..one should come expereinces the life and understand why certain items are worn.
