Nobody expresses their love for men as outrageously as Pete.
The homo queens must be jealous that Pete is openly bi.

Some of you might like this “totally gay” performance of the band's tour (perhaps the "gayest" tour ever).

If you grow your hair long, wear spandex, and wear a metallic groin pad, guys will rip off their shirts for you.

In DOA most notorious song and video, you can tell that Pete totally wants to rape your ass @ 0:45.

Anyone who tries to top Pete Burns can kiss his ass.

Once prettier than many women, Pete now looks like this after his devastating “maintenance” under the knife.

Forget gender bending, this video makes me disappointed that I missed out on the 80s leather scene:

    80s looks like shit.

espn, countless sport dynasties in the 90sicon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

In terms of entertainment, the 90s surpasses the 80s in movies, technology, and sports.

in regards to music...that will debatable depending on your taste.

There is this thing, time. It catches up to you and all you ever too. Pretty soon, Lady GaGa and every other hot starlet hot now will look like the unattractive ladies in your own neighborhood; and you'll look at them and laugh cause they look as bad as you ... can imagine.

The videos just give a glimpse of what was going on in the 80s. It was a decade to go out, not stay in. Talk to an older dude who's been to NYC in his 20s during the early part of that decade. Something was going on there that was truly outrageous. You can tell by the wave of HIV that hit later on in that decade, sadly.

In comparison, the sit-at-home Facebook generation looks like a group of angle wuss kids.

There were a lot of straight queer acts at the time, but these guys were unabashedly open about it.

That is the second version of Bronski Beat with Jon Jon as the singer. The first version had Jimmy Sommerville on vocals. The first "It Gets Better" video?:

big fan of Peter Burns and Dead or Alive...very very underrated band from the 80s. They were more than just a two hit wonder. Pick up their greatest hits, its packed with great dance songs. Hoping Pete Burns get his act together and tours the US sometime. Saw them back in the mid 90s at the Roxy in NYC when he was just dabbling in plastic surgery.

Not to be outdone with genderbending...Annie Lennox and Eurythmics' "Who's That Girl" which featured Annie in drag as a man and her kissing herself at the end of the video. The video also featured another gender bender Marilyn as well as members of Bananarama and Haysee Fantasee

The 80s will never come back, the stuff that is out today is totally lacking any kind of brashness and edge to it

I saw them in the late 80's for this tour to support the Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know album. It was one of the first concerts I saw that was lip synched, but you forgave them because you were there for his stage show andPete being outrageous, not a musical performance.

wish I was able to see them in their prime. His stage presence is just enormous..haha, love the use of towels for the two dancers in that clip

and here is another gender bender from Annie...she is a woman here but more like a scary big busted drag queen in one of my favorite but overlooked Eurythmics songs "I Need A Man"

I cringe every time I see a picture of myself from the 80's. I was born in '81 and I have baby pictures of myself dressed in a powder blue velour track suit with little sneakers and a tiny headband. I look like a little extra from Olivia Newton-John's Physical video. Parents were cruel in the 80's.

I used to like Dead or Alive just because of that one song. Jesus Christ I was so gay in high school. icon_lol.gif On a side note, I'm apparently facebook friends with Jeyjon from Dead or Alive.
