Who sings this? All I've ever heard was his first name Landon, but have never cught the last name. I think the decade of 2000+ has produced some great talent. Is it just me or is there a bit of a swing back to "FOLK MUSIC" not totally copying the 60's folk music by any stretch, but it seems to me similar. There's some "protest" songs but not as blantant as the 60's. At any rate I really like todays music. What do you guys think? Whats the influence at work in music these days?

You're thinking of "Landon Pigg," who is a great musician in my opinion.

As far as revolutionaries are concerned in the musical discourse, the hip hop group "Flobots" are strong conveyors of youth movement ideology. I saw them perform a few weeks ago in Denver and while they were entertaining, I think their overarching message is muddled and ineffectual unlike the dissenters of the counterculture in the 1960s.

Personally, I'm digging "The Last Goodnight" right now. I highly recommend downloading "Stay Beautiful" icon_smile.gif
