Haha!, Yea im confused with the above post too. Protein is absolutely necessary when trying to gain muscle. You ever wonder why you hear everyone saying to eat alot of beef, eggs, and chicken when trying to build muscle? That's because they are filled with protein!
If your looking into buying protein, I recommend you buy Optimum's 100% Gold Standard Whey! 24g of protein per serving, I take it when I wake, right after a workout and with a meal.

    Hey!
As said earlier in this topic, protein is the fundation in our muscles and they are necessary for building up muscles after a workout. If you do alot of wieght training, you need a higher intake of protein to get musclegrowth.
Mainly, you should get your protein through your daily meals. To get defined muscles, you want the proteinproducts that are low in fat and suger. Eggs, chicken, fish, beans, nuts, low-fat milkproducts and red meat (with less fat) is products that are really high in protein. And you should prefer protein from animals, since they are of a better quality.
If you can't get enought protein from your normal meals, you can takes shakes and bar. But you should calculate your protein needs before spending money on that. If you get enough protein from your meals, and you drinks shakes and bar, the left over protein the body can't absorb, will come out with your urin.

I'm assuming that they are being tongue-in-cheek to various degrees... Optimum is good stuff. Just keep in mind that it's only a protein supplement. If you're not getting enough calories in your real food then it's going to be a waste of money.

    Yes.
    Yes you should take it.
Yes it is fine for your health.
Isolate proteins are a good type of protein to stick with. But there are different kinds used to different reasons, research them to find what will best suit your goals.

No, simply taking protein will not get you big by itself. It helps, but you need to eat lots as well in order to gain muscle.

I am sure there are already a lot of threads on this site about protein; do a little research to get yourself familiar with it.
