    The researcher made this statement:

"Not quite," Dr. Eidelman told The Huffington Post in an email. "Our research shows that low-effort thought promotes political conservatism, not that political conservatives use low-effort thinking."

As with other studies showing lower intelligence and less current event awareness among conservatives, you should realize that the results reflect the conservative trend of many on the lower intelligence and socio-economic levels.

JPtheBITCH saidIt's not about being stupid.

I've been saying this for years: being conservative is easy. It means going with your first gut instincts without taking the time to examine an issue in its complexity; it means not bothering (or not being able to) imagine what other people may be feeling or thinking (and ultimately not really caring).

Conservatism appeals to all the things your kindergarten teacher tried to socialize out of you: aggression, meanness, refusal to share, whining, and self-pity. Some kindergarten teachers did a better job of it than others.

Right on JP !!! Kinda draws a picture of the FOX NEWS crowd.
