Lived there for 11 years, great place, but vastly overrated. Starting with the weather!

I still spend a few weeks a year there (my employer is there). Stick to visiting unless you find that job and you're making more than 100k and/or find a hubby there to help you split expenses.

    No thanks.

Aggressive panhandlers, oppressively bad parking and that weird smell that sometimes wafts up from the bay.

    Love to visit though.

Funny story, my first time there, I went to a bar called The Mix. Started talking to a nice fella. Upon him learning I am Israeli, he called me a "war criminal" and walked off, leaving me to pay his bar tab.

    Ah, fun times...

Next time, tell him you're Canadian, works for Americans worldwide and we are a lot more responsible for war crimes (I'm kidding about that last bit).

    I'd agree.

Canada did curse us with this...

thanks for sharing this...I am pleased to say, I know where most of these scenes are in that clip...after 14 years in San Francisco, one realizes this is a small town masquerading as a big world class city (and I mean that in the most complimentary way)...

Moved here after Chicago and New York...wouldn't have it any other way...especially on a day when the sun is shining...

Planning to move to SF in a month from living on the East Coast my entire life. Really looking forward to the adventure and all the wonderful things to see and do. Since I know "no one" in SF, any RJers who are looking for friends or potential workout buddies, hit me up.
