Social conservatives are really pissed off. Now that Santorum is out, the GOP expects them to rally behind Romney like mindless sheep. However, more and more are choosing to "sit this one out" instead of becoming brainless GOP puppets.

Looks like Romney has a big problem on his hands. The social conservatives loathing of Romney outweighs their dislike of the current administration.

In which case they are screwed. The extreme nature of modern republicanism must be nearing it´s breaking point. Hopefully it will break this year and then there can be some return to a more reasonable dialogue.

Great, the triumphant return of 'ALL CAPS' guy.

Seriously, what do you have against normal sentence case?

I would if Gingrich's campaign will get recharged. It looked like he was about the drop out. I didn't expect Santorum to be the one to leave.

I'm still surprised why Ron Paul's numbers are so low. Given their complaints, I would think Ron Paul would have been the top contender.

    That's not fair.

Only the thread title is all caps.

His OP commentary is in lower case.

You really ARE living in La-La land, KittyKat. First of all, Romney has barely had the nomination secured 24 hours -- things are going to start to look a whole lot better as the GOP rallies around the nominee. You're delusional if you think they will stay home and just hand the election to Obama. This is going to be a knock-down-drag-out -- make no mistake about that.

When the "Social Conservatives" enter the voting booth, they'll be looking for just one thing: a name with an "R" after it.

True, but how many will go to the voting booth? That's the issue with turnout, which Romney will be disastrous.

I think the Republicans are in grave danger of making the mistake Dems did in the 2004 election by ignoring the ground game.

How about you just worry about Obama's ground game, and let Mitt worry about his. He's one smart cookie. He's actually accomplished many things. YOU on the other hand... icon_wink.gif
