if that is what they like doing, so be it. everyone has their opinion.

ive been to some good shows. some terrible. some scary. there are some talented people out there though who do drag.

i have respect for some of them bc they have a lot of balls and talent. and then, there are those that look like trailor trash. bless them.

Mixed feelings. Some are just too over-the-top and overdone for my taste. Yet I used to count a number among my close friends, still know a few. I also liked to do their stage lighting, especially running the follow spotlight, though haven't in a few years. Even did a little drag myself for laughs, but I wasn't about to get into all the costumes, wigs, makeup, etc on a serious basis.

If someone likes dressing in drag go for it, but it's not something I'm into personally.

I personally don't understand how people can hate drag queens.

I suppose I can understand it not being your thing, like not enjoying watching drag shows...

but idk i have a lot of respect for them as people said before for having a lot of balls, they're just doing what they think is fun and show they don't care what other people think..

when people are uncomfortable around them i think it has to do with their own insecurities

it was a drag queen that got gay pride started

Ah young padawan... it was the drag queens that started the fight for your equality, not 'gay pride'...

But you are close and therefore you get props!

Hell! If they all looked like JP's pic, we would have a gay president by now! Can you imagine the power of a pissed off JP? Yikes and you thought your mama was mean! LOL
And I say that with the utmost reverence!

By some of the responses here, I think some are confused by what is a drag queen. A person living their life different from their biological gender is not a drag queen. A transgendered person can be a drag queen as a performer or occupation, but most transgendered people are not drag queens. The two terms do not mean the same thing.

AMoonHawk saidI got really drunk once and did scag drag once ... I was one ugly looking mess ... I'll leave it to the professionals

I did that too (once and only once), on a dare! It was embarrassing and hilarious at the same time! I was made to look like an old gypsy. The bar where this took place at, had burnt down, along with any ANY photographic evidence!

(and no, not mocking any queens, as some are very good friends)

I find them to be rather ridiculous, but hey....im not gonna judge...

if they find it fun to play dress up and put on make-up, etc...more power to them. It's not really something I find entertaining or fun or anything. Rather, it's just like "oh lord.....look at that fucking tranny!"
