Okay so I have come across this in my life. I feel like a lot of guys feel intimidated by how tall I am. I am 6'8 and idk it just seems like I am right out in the open for everyone to see! Seems like guys think I am too tall for them. Do you think height has a lot to do with it?

Go to Holland and you'll find loads of good-looking men who don't have to look up when they talk to you. icon_lol.gif

Being "too tall" is not a liability in itself. Look at Maria Sharapova... she's found love.

i dunno. I'm attracted to taller guys. It is possible that some guys would be put off by it. I'm put off by shorter guys for example.

Yeah I am put off by shorter guys like 58 and under. only cause it feels so awkward. I guess I could make some guys feel the same way

Well, there are other tall guys out there, and other guys who like tall guys.

As we haven't met you, we can't weigh the height issue versus any other issue that you may have...

I understand the whole "bending over" or "craning upward" awkwardness. But some guys also have more dominant personalities than others, which doesn't always jibe with them dating a taller guy. My biggest problem is that guys over 6'4 don't fit in my car unless i put the top down, and then they have to wear goggles, hahahah icon_biggrin.gif

I'd like to have this problem for just one day. Yesterday I wanted some salad dressing that was at the back of the top shelf in the grocery store. I got a broom from the cleaning section and knocked the dressing into my cart. My only other options were to climb the shelves like a monkey or ask some 16 year old kid working there to get a step ladder. These are the problems those of us under 6 feet have to deal with. Sorry, but my sympathy for your plight is minimal.

As a 5'8 guy, that's exactly what it is icon_smile.gif
Personally I do find it awkward if there is a large height difference... although a taller guy is nice, closer to my height tends to work better.

But don't feel jilted, shorties are passed over pretty quick too. There are a lot of guys over 6' and there will be many of them who are into you.

Haha sadly not always. I saw a 6'4 guy who had the smallest cock I have ever seen. I have small hands and it could all fit in there.. poor guy icon_lol.gif

But yeah indeed, tall guys are really hot icon_twisted.gif

I've had to climb shelves like a monkey many times. Not fun and not safe, but you gotta do what you gotta do when there's no one around and something is unreachable.

I carry a full-sized umbrella for this very reason. Sure its not the most fashionable thing (well my old one was nice but Katrina ate it) but it does the job.

My old one was similar to this one
Ralph Lauren | Long Manual Umbrella

Ha! I used to have a blue one just like that. Never carried it in with me unless it was raining. Good idea, though. icon_wink.gif Or maybe a walking stick, with a pimp hat so I can cool it up

Hhaha, yes I hate cars so much! Can not fit in the back seat lol. But yeah I guess dominance places a big role.

I'm 5'7 and I've had a lot of fun sexing up a guy who is 6'8. Its only awkward trying to kiss while standing up...but we didn't do much standing! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm 6'2" and am very much attracted to men that are taller than me. It's not a requirement, but it certainly helps a lot.

As a short arse of 5"8' I can assure you there is no such thing as being to tall, but there is being to short. many people with ducks disease also are inflicted with the Napoleon Syndrome.

As you'll see, it depends on the person.

For example, I find shorter, equal, and taller guys equally attractive. I know a dude who is much shorter than me, but I still think he's drop dead sexy, and would definitely date him. I don't see a height differential as an issue.

Counter example to all gay men like tall(er) guys; I know a dude who is 6' 3" but does not date tall guys; he likes them short. Dating preferences are all so highly subjective.

Then, there are many guys who will only date ones that are taller than them. There are many guys who will only date guys around equal to their height.

And you know, a few weeks ago the question "Would you date a dwarf" was posed. He also got a lot of positive responses. So yes I agree that this question is highly subjective.

yourname2000 saidThere's no such thing as "too tall".

In fact, most of the 500-odd people I've blocked on RJ are blocked solely because they're way too short (like under 5'9" ---eww!) I just don't want to have to read what those short little freak-a-zoids have to say. Beady little hands, beady little eyes...who knows what dark beady thoughts run around in their beady little minds --ya can't trust 'em!

I really don't know why anyone would choose to stop growing under 6 feet tall....just seems like pure laziness to me. So I applaud your commitment...no doubt your thoughts are as big as you are.

Oh I love the way you get off talking dirty to me, but my bubble butt goes very well with my big calves, and they just love both, and one has only ever dated taller guys. But it's so sad your Brian is only as big as your penis; thus honey you sure are in trouble; lets see if your lust last as long as my loveicon_wink.gif

Trust me buddy, I know the feeling, almost 6'10 tall here and I have hears all the possible excuses about you are way too tall.... Etc but oh well it's somewhat the typical gay standards, everything can't be all fairy tale crap icon_smile.gif
