Being too tall

yourname2000 saidThere's no such thing as "too tall".

In fact, most of the 500-odd people I've blocked on RJ are blocked solely because they're way too short (like under 5'9" ---eww!) I just don't want to have to read what those short little freak-a-zoids have to say. Beady little hands, beady little eyes...who knows what dark beady thoughts run around in their beady little minds --ya can't trust 'em!

I really don't know why anyone would choose to stop growing under 6 feet tall....just seems like pure laziness to me. So I applaud your commitment...no doubt your thoughts are as big as you are.

Oh I love the way you get off talking dirty to me, but my bubble butt goes very well with my big calves, and they just love both, and one has only ever dated taller guys. But it's so sad your Brian is only as big as your penis; thus honey you sure are in trouble; lets see if your lust last as long as my love

dynocoop saidOkay so I have come across this in my life. I feel like a lot of guys feel intimidated by how tall I am. I am 6'8 and idk it just seems like I am right out in the open for everyone to see! Seems like guys think I am too tall for them. Do you think height has a lot to do with it?

Trust me buddy, I know the feeling, almost 6'10 tall here and I have hears all the possible excuses about you are way too tall.... Etc but oh well it's somewhat the typical gay standards, everything can't be all fairy tale crap

Height is not really a factor to me I like taller men and shorter men, but then again I'm 5'11.5 so I'm just in the middle.

Dude unless you're a power bottom, consider it a gift! Height is definitely a commodity. Many men wish they were taller.... very VERY few men wish they were shorter. You walk into a room and have stature. It's awesome!

Your height sets you apart from the crowd. It makes you different. For some people it's their nose, or their eyes, and for you it's your height.

You can either continue to feel insecure about it (and people can totally sense that, by the way) or you can appreciate being tall. The third option involves a hacksaw and your shins, but I'd recommend against it.

Once you learn to love being tall, you will see that other guys appreciate it as well.

Statistically, I find taller men more attractive, but so far the only two people I have considered dating have been three or four inches shorter than me.

Given that there's no gender conformity required (I feel bad for really tall women) I find the attraction factor with height to be kind of odd. Doesn't matter how tall or short a guy is, as long as he's hot. While I probably wouldn't have the same physical interactions with a 5'5" guy vs. a 6'10" guy, it wouldn't mean I wouldn't find either of them more or less attractive due to their height.

If I'm the smaller spoon, that's cool. If I'm the bigger spoon, that's cool as well. If the guy is smaller than me, then I can have some fun throwing him around the bedroom, and lifting him up in a bear hug when I see him. If we're about the same size, we can do regular partner choreography, and the physics work well in the bedroom. If the guy is tons taller than I am, he can do all the heavy lifting during our ice dancing competitions, help me reach things on the top shelf, and carry me over the threshold, etc. etc.

Tall is hot. However, I was once dating this guy who was super tall and well endowed, the problem was ever time we had sex in the shower standing up, I couldn't get away from him!!! Pain!! Haha and I had to stand on my tip toes for him to reach my butt!!!

5'8'' is considered short now? That's two inches below the US average which is about 5'10''. Try being 5'5'' or below and forced to shop for jeans in the boys' section, then we'll have a conversation about being short.

As a bi guy who is 6'7", I find that problem more common with women than with men. A lot of guys would put their ankles to their ears for me if they had a chance. I don't mean to come off as arrogant when I say that, for the record. Then again- a lot of guys are into the idea of going home with a guy who makes Jason Witten look small...

dynocoop saidYeah I am put off by shorter guys like 58 and under. only cause it feels so awkward. I guess I could make some guys feel the same way

Thanks.

Seriously, why is 5' 8" always the cut off? Why can't it ever by 5' 7"? Does one inch really make me unacceptable?

I find taller guys more attractive initially, but I've dated shorter guys. There aren't many guys shorter than me, so taller is usually more likely anyway.

Agreed. I've actually considered listing my height as 5'9" since i'm actually 5'8.6, not to mention the hair and by then i'm 5'9.5!!

Well, that's the "Grade A" standard. I do prefer "Grade AA+" myself...

Everyone has different things they like. Some people might like guys around their height, and some guys might be attracted to really tall guys.

For me, really tall guys are extremely attractive. I'd probably pick you out of a crowd and talk to you if I saw you. So don't be shy about it. For every one who doesn't like your height, there is at least one person who is more attracted to you because of it
