MarkRoger saidWow, I hate Americans. They're way too tall, the average height around here is like 5'8 and Americans want to say that 6'0 is short?

Hey, hey, hey now.....6 feet isn't short. 6 feet is totally normal. Anything under 6 feet is short.

It's sort of like the hourglass figure for measuring women: if you're a guy, and you're tall, it means you've got great genes and you were well fed when you were younger, probably received correct medical care and generally came from loving parents who literally wanted you to reach your full potential. And if you're short, none of that happened. So it's kinda the "fertility test" for men, and even though we're all gay and there is no procreation drive, it all still applies.

It's no biggie though (pardon the pun)....it takes all kinds to fill a world....tall guys who are leaders and shining examples of manhood (you know, intelligent), and also short people doing dishes and cleaning tables and stuff...."a place for everyone", as it were.

It's the natural order....what god intended.

That was just down right offensive...

I am 6'4", and other men's height is a non-issue for me. Sexiness comes in all sizes and I have dated as short as 5'4" and as tall as 6'6". In the end it was about the person and not whether or not we had to stretch to kiss goodnight. And yes some guys will be intimidated by guys over 6'4", but then most people are intimdiated by something. I'm be intimidated by a 5'9" guy with well-built gym body -- but I wouldn't say no if said body came up and started a conversation with me.

Having said that, when I dated the guys taller than me, there was something inexplicably arousing about it -- maybe because it is rare that someone can tower over me standing up. So I do understand the attraction.

Coach_Mike saidI'd like to have this problem for just one day. Yesterday I wanted some salad dressing that was at the back of the top shelf in the grocery store. I got a broom from the cleaning section and knocked the dressing into my cart. My only other options were to climb the shelves like a monkey or ask some 16 year old kid working there to get a step ladder. These are the problems those of us under 6 feet have to deal with. Sorry, but my sympathy for your plight is minimal.

+1... I'm 5'8" here... so you can just imagine my sympathy for you bro...

I got an idea: maybe we could split the difference, I'll take 4 inches from you to round out at 6' and you'd be 6'4".... deal?

I always charge the old ladies at the grocery store or on the planes $10 to reach up and grab something.

It's for liability purposes...

The only person who ever asked me to grab something for them was a lady in a motorized cart who wanted something from the BOTTOM shelf. I have been asked by women to load something heavy into their cars.

It's one of the major things I look for in a man. Nothing better than having a big guy by your side who can protect your ass and make you feel safe in their arms.

I have no problem being the shorter guy at 5'10, in fact, I totally prefer it.

Plus a tall guy = big feet, which = well you know what, typically anyway

These guys at 5"4

Or

Vince Vaughn at 6'6

Sure as hell not picking Vince, in saying that... I'm only 5'3... So that's why maybe I only find shorter guys hot, but I don't get it... If a guy is that HOT? Would you say no because he's only a foot shorter?

MarkRoger saidI wish I were that tall to be honest.
I think I'd appreciate being that tall for athletic purposes, because then I'd have a higher jump, longer arm span, etc... I don't think being taller would suit my personality, though. I'm kind of a beta male.

That can bite you in the ass, because leverage/fulcrum lines are longer. Not that I'd give up my height, mind you...

I starting to think I have a thing for tall guys, but I think it has more to do with how proportionate they look. A short guy who has some width on him (even if it's a lot of muscles) kind of looks like a tree stump. A tall lanky guy isn't that attractive either.

There's this really tall guy I've been crushing on since last semester and even though I'm around 6', my eyes only come up to his chest. That's kind of intimidating. And I've always thought that tall people most date people closer to their height.

Damn people in this thread are tall

I like tall people, but not when they are too skinny. I'm 1m90cm (for americans that's around 6'2 / 6'3), but due to very good healthy eating from a young age on and eating ridiculous amounts of food (and genes, no doubt), i'm also in general built pretty big, which is what I like about a guy, no matter the height. Shorter guys can be attractive too, though. It's just one of the aspects of your general appearance.
