Haven't they been without a government for quite some time now? It is pretty inspirational, if you think about it - I mean, if they they go without, so should we, non? icon_wink.gif

Anyway, to the topic at hand: It may not be that bad given the geographic location of the nation. It's not as if they are in the middle of nowhere - whatever happens they can survive comfortably within The Big E.

I guess one of the problems is that French-speaking Brussels is inside the Flemish-speaking area of the country.

This has been a long time coming, though. Belgium is a completely artificial kingdom. Without the king there would be no reason to stay together. There has been a lot of tension for a very long time and it was just a matter of time before it escalated.

I have a friend from Belgium that told me about this briefly. He told me that he supports the breakup because his side of country will not have to support the side that "does not want to work." That was a strange thing to hear coming from him. He is generally very liberal.

OMG, gotta ask my sis about this. LOL

Yeah they're split into the dutch and french speakers. My sis complained about it coz she had to learn two languages when she moved there. Heh.

Just when we were all under the impression that Europe was stable! If Albert II hadn't of sucked up their money, maybe he could've just paid them all into happiness like our [US] government has attempted. On another note, an ex of mine says it's very easy to get laid in the Brussels sub-way tunnels. ALSO, screw the waffles!! They better not mess with my chocolates!!
