I think it looks Prothean. Next thing we'll find that Charon isn't really a moon at all, but a giant relay station.

If it can tract solstices/equinoxes than it's important. If not, than it's just another penile rock.

    Oh, Good heavens!

I saw the movie twice, the second time so drunk I could have been on acid, and it still impresses, or maybe I was on acid. I don't remember.

Let's let the picture mean something.

I read that they also found a used condom on the surface along with a credit card receipt belonging to Ray Walston.

A scientist in that news story explains that the only reason it looks uniformly rectangular is because its likely irregular shape has been pixilated. They also say it looks like it broke off from up on the cliff and feel down into that valley.

Not as exciting an analysis, but there you have it.

Clearly this is a sign that the Martians are amassing their invasion fleet behind the Moon, and this monolith/odd feature/space outhouse is a clever distraction.

I've seen it before.... while it does look unnatural as per its placement on the surface, there may be some explanation. I doubt it is anything more than that. Odd looking however.

Warning: The following image may very well shake your understanding of our world. It is proof that aliens came up with emoticons before we did. This is proof that Twitter was created by Martians two billion years ago and transmitted that knowledge through the satanic rituals of the intellectual elite of Silicon Valley.

The theory about Mars ruins is that there was an ancient Martian civilization millions of years ago, when Mars was a habitable planet. An intelligent species could have evolved on Mars if life evolved on Mars. I just think it's possible. When you see things like this monolith it certainly makes you want to believe.

When I was a kid I wanted to be an archaeologist, so that is why I am fascinated by these ideas.

probably a rock. I highly doubt that is some fascinating object since most of mars planet is litter in with rocks everywhere since the atmosphere is kinda depleted for any object of significance to have survived against cosmic rays, comets and meteors, and storms.

"When your resolution is too low to fully resolve an object, it tends to look rectangular because the pixels in the image are squares. Any curve will look like a series of straight lines if you reduce your resolution enough," Hill told Life's Little Mysteries.

if I were to compare the Monolith to the next similarly-sized object to the left, that structure is mostly full of curves. So I can't really say that the rectangularity of the strange object is an issue of pixelation.

I really hope it's an alien object so we can make those religious zealots to shut the fuck up.

I doubt that would convince them, kinda the same way UFO believers wont be convinced this is a rock.
