Because Michelle Obama doesn't have Fox News to go into righteous rage at every negative comment made about her. (And that was meant to be a pun) Indeed, it's Fox News that spreads such Michelle attacks. It helps when a political party has an entire "news" organization working for them, and against their opponents.

In your estimation, "Lieutenant," how many hours of Fox News do you watch per day?

You mean MSNBC and the Democrats?

POTUS has Coffee with Progressive Media Stars

An all-star list of progressive and liberal media folks came to the White House today to chat with President Obama over coffee in the Roosevelt Room.

The group chatted with the president about economic messaging, his agenda for 2012, the various campaign arguments against different GOP candidates, the desire among some Democrats for him to highlight his foreign policy accomplishments, fighting corporate influence and the “crappiness” of the Senate filibuster , as one attendee put it.

Those there included the Washington Post‘s Ezra Klein and Greg Sargent, MSNBC anchors Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, and Chris Hayes, the Nation’s editor and publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel, the New York Times‘ Frank Bruni, and stars of the interwebs Arianna Huffington, Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo, Faiz Shakir of ThinkProgress and Joy Reid of The Reid Report.

The clueless here and at the Kos don't realize the apologies are not really directed to Ann Romney. I'm sure she neither needs nor cares about them. The apologies coming from the Democrats are nothing but damage control really directed to all the at-home Moms and other women who take offense at such elitism. It won't go away because it reinforces the theme that the Democrats really are elitists.

If anyone needs to apologize to Michelle Obama, it can be those who made the statements, not the GOP or Romney campaign.

And while we're at it, maybe some of the Democrats can call for Maher to apologize to Sarah Palin, and Schultz to apologize to Sarah Palin and Laura Ingraham, or the Obama campaign to return Maher's contribution. It won't happen because they really don't care about decorum. They only apologize when they fear losing votes. Pure and simple.

    Lies, lies and more lies.

The true elitist is Ann Romney who never had to work and who had extensive paid help including no less than three housekeepers when the Romney kids were young.

And you cannot have a double standard wherein what Hilary Rosen (not a member of the White House or campaign staff, but an employee of CNN) is used to tar Democrats but Rush Limbaugh is somehow removed from the Republicans. That's total bullshit.

    Other lies:

Schultz has apologize to Ingraham and also took an unpaid leave of absence as his "mea culpa."

And Obama cannot return anything to Maher as the donation was to a super PAC which is not permitted to coordinate with the Obama campaign. So you can drop that lie as well.

Finally, Palin is out there every day talking shit about the Obamas and everyone else who she thinks will get her a 30-second sound bite. She accused the Obamas of "palin' around with terrorists", so if Maher called her a cunt, she's a big girl and can take what she dishes out.

Really, John, you've just become unhinged. You used to be a gentleman and now you're carrying water for Palin?

You use the term "lies" almost as freely as the term "racism". LOL
The true elitist is Ann Romney who never had to work and who had extensive paid help including no less than three housekeepers when the Romney kids were young.
Deflection. Whether Ann Romney is an elitist has no bearing on the comment made by Rosen that is seen as offensive and elitist to a broad demographic.

And you cannot have a double standard wherein what Hilary Rosen (not a member of the White House or campaign staff, but an employee of CNN) is used to tar Democrats but Rush Limbaugh is somehow removed from the Republicans. That's total bullshit.
It has been reported that White House visitor logs show Hilary Rosen as having visited the White House 35 times. The Democrats obviously saw the association, motivating comments from Axlerod, Messina, and Obama to try and control the damage. Now do you have information as to Rush's affiliation with the GOP or the Romney campaign besides taking positions favoring them?

    Other lies:

Schultz has apologize to Ingraham and also took an unpaid leave of absence as his "mea culpa."
I will give you this one. I had forgotten he had apologized to Ingraham. How bout to Palin, though?

And Obama cannot return anything to Maher as the donation was to a super PAC which is not permitted to coordinate with the Obama campaign. So you can drop that lie as well.
Do you seriously believe if Obama had expressed concern about involvement with Maher, the Super PAC would not follow this general guidance from the White House? Bill Burton has become totally independent? And don't forget "Obama Super PAC Donors Among White House Guests", as reported by your esteemed Huffington Post. What do you think they talked about? Basketball brackets or maybe the best wine. Who is lying now? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/26/obama-super-pac-priorities-usa-action-white-house-logs_n_1379313.html

What Rosen said may have panicked the Obama campaign but no one was offended by it. Just typical right-wing faux outrage.

And you cannot have a double standard wherein what Hilary Rosen (not a member of the White House or campaign staff, but an employee of CNN) is used to tar Democrats but Rush Limbaugh is somehow removed from the Republicans. That's total bullshit.

You mean besides forcing Michael Steel to apologize to him? Limbaugh is seen by many within and without the REpublican Party as being sacrosanct. Hence the rushing to defend him when he called a private citizen a slut and a whore. Where was your outrage then? Another example of your complete and utter bullshit

    Other lies:

Just because Romney is breaking the law by coordinating with super-PACs doesn't mean Obama is. Perhaps you approve of Romney's brazen violation of campaign finance law but most Americans expect better from the president. And there's a difference between socializing with people supporting the campaign and giving an unaffiliated group a directive. And if Obama did so you'd be leaping all over him that he was breaking the law. Suck quit your bullshitting.

Finally, Palin is out there every day talking shit about the Obamas and everyone else who she thinks will get her a 30-second sound bite. She accused the Obamas of "palin' around with terrorists", so if Maher called her a cunt, she's a big girl and can take what she dishes out.

Nope. Some left-wing Obama campaign surrogate who has visited the White House 35 times during the reign of the Obama administration viciously attacked Ann Romney on an international forum (CNN). If you're not able to see the equivalency, then you are either stupid or blinded by leftist allegiance.

With ridiculous comments like this, I'm just left to my original thesis that the right-wing (including you, SB) thinks it's fine to attack Michelle Obama because she's black and Sandra Fluke because she had the "nerve" to question the anti-woman stances of the Republican Party.

Because in your worldview white women of enormous wealth and privilege who support their husband's baldfaced lies are somehow sacrosanct.

What I'm delighted by is how out of touch you all prove you are with every post. It just ensures Romney's defeat. icon_lol.gif

The GOP War on Women is gonna hurt them at the polls. Republicans are reversing at State level the advances women have had in equality for the last 40 years. Forget what Republicans try to project with their candidates' compliant wives, eager to the First Lady at some level. The political reality is a Republican world with women as subordinates to men.

BTW, I flew with all 3 Clintons, including Chelsea, in 1992, when Bill was still Governor of Arkansas. And I personally presented him with various DoD awards, and was his military escort for the celebration when Arkansas troops returned from the first Gulf War, and was the co-MC at the grand ball we had.

Yeah, Chelsea had an awkward childhood, I saw it myself. To knock the Clintons about it today is absolutely despicable, and beyond the pale.
