London Mayor Boris Johnson used his position as Transport for London chairman to ditch the Christian [gay cure] ads. In his statement, reported by The Guardian, Johnson said:

"London is one of the most tolerant cities in the world and intolerant of intolerance. It is clearly offensive to suggest that being gay is an illness that someone recovers from and I am not prepared to have that suggestion driven around London on our buses."

Good for the more socially advanced and sophisticated British. In contrast, we Americans have to hear the gay cure rhetoric endlessly from our Republican politicians in their campaigns, and from Christian leaders from their pulpits.

Well he is a bit eccentric, in the best British tradition. But for this sign controversy he deserves gay praise & thanks, if not votes. Please tell us what the City reaction is.

I think this is a good thing, because I know as a Bona Fide homo there is no choice to our sexuality. We have never had the choice to take a wife breed, be seen as a family man and too receive all ther perks that come with it. Sadly though many bisexuals who started off living the straight lifestyle, and then latter in life change their minds and start to live the gay one, do make sexuality look like a choice, thus homosexuality can be cured.

In many ways whats the difference to a bisexual living the life of a married family man and still getting into manlove at a public toilet?

Exgay works for closet cases who get outed.

Its a method for them to become virgins again, just like a marriage annulment. Works until confession...or they get ensnared into another ugly dragnet by the vice squad. icon_lol.gif

Apparently the Christian group in question is suing the mayor of London over the ban now.

It's unfortunate someone even approved these ads in the first place.

. . . if you approve of State control of expression, then you won't have any right to complain when the stooges throw you in the clink for deviating from the regnant party line . . .
