    East
    #1 Rangers vs. #8 Senators
    #2 Bruins vs. #7 Capitals
    #3 Panthers vs. #6 Devils
    #4 Penguins vs. #5 Flyers

    West

    #1 Canucks vs. #8 Kings
    #2 Blues vs. #7 Sharks
    #3 Coyotes vs. #6 Blackhawks
#4 Predators vs. #5 Red Wings

I'm rooting for my Wings, of course. But it looks to be a close contest for all of the western series (maybe with the exception of Vancouver-LA). As for the east, you gotta like New York's chances (and perhaps Philadelphia).

    What's your pick?

I'm not a huge NHL fan but I'm always a Pitt fan. Go Pens...stop losing in the third.

Sharks faithful so San Jose all the way. The Flyers are pretty much dominating with that comback offense so Philly for the east. Gunna be an interesting outcome i think

Hockey? I'm Canadian and I love the sport. My only worry is that Sidney will be killed the next time he gets hit,.He will be hit and going into convulsions while he dies on national television, and for that reason I can't watch anymore. I don't want that memory in my brain for the rest of my life.

Hockey has turned into professional wrestling. Honestly.

A few media enhanced instances and people jump on the nelly hockey bandwagon :/ This stuff has been going on for years, nothing new.

Go Canucks so Luongo can screw it up again... cause really he's only good when there's nothing coming at him.

I'm hoping Vancouver snaps out of it. Although they've played well overall (obviously, they won the President's Trophy), they have been remarkably inconsistent and streaky this year.

I usually root for Calgary, but they're out. Next would be Winnipeg since I love that hockey is there again, but they're out. And Canadiens are out, so at least my budget is happy with that one!

    So I'm going for:
    Detroit (Go Tigers...er..Red Wings!)
Philly (can't stand the whiny babies that play for the other team)
Rangers (It might be Tortorella's year)
Blues (...I like Halak I suppose)
Capitals (If Ovey plays with everything he's got, he deserves the trophy)
    Blackhawks (love Jonathan Toews!)

No love for the Devils, Senators, Panthers and Capitals?

Except for Flyers-Penguins and Kings-Canucks, it seems like the other series all have the potential to be extremely competitive.

I always go for the "home" team......

    image.axd?picture=2012%2f2%2fPanthers+lo

And we are "auditioning" for a team the next time the NHL expands. Gentlemen, I present to you the logo for the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL, which will drop puck later in 2012:

Shawnathan saidI don't really care, but I strongly dislike Tim Thomas, so hopefully not the Bruins.

Why do you hate Tim Thomas? He's a true underdog story and a fine human being from all accounts.
