    I love my mommy! icon_cool.gif

I have no shame in saying that. She and I have similar personalities despite having vastly different interests and life experiences. Even though I love my father just as much, I'm a bit closer to my mother because she stayed at home. I was with her all the time growing up! I still talk to her almost daily even while we live apart.

I know some of you boys love your mommy, too! Although no doubt some of you probably despise your mother, haha.

My main mother gave me up for adoption. The other one was distracted by thinking she was a music teacher.Mon's are hit and miss.

Can't recall ever really interacting with her. My mind has always gone to her when I hear, "Unchained Melody", she must've played it a lot; and when I smell roses. I've always missed her, but only have a scant 2 year's old memory of being with her. I'm trying to get somewhere with this... mind is wandering...
She's also been one of the biggest influences in my life. At a time when Mtv was scandalous and most idols on tv were the last person anyone wanted their kids to look up to; I had stories of my mother and father to serve as a moral compass when I hit my teen years. Not to say I didn't look up to my immediate family or any celebrities. I run the gambit on idolatry. But trying to be as she was, on a personal level is what I'm proudest about. If I've learned one thing I got from my mother is my desire to see others do well; especially my LGTB peers.

My parents would jokingly ask if I'm gay, and my mom, right off the bat, said, "I'll still love you if you are!" <3

(BTW, for those people that might be wondering why I haven't come out to them yet is because I want my dad to ask me in a serious manner, not teasingly. My dad's a jerk sometimes...)

The one thing I always found interesting was that my mom was by far the smarter parent, lol. My dad is the college-educated one. My mom got her GED. However, she was the one who helped me with homework and the main reason why I did so well in school. Well, she always took her time to learn what I was learning, and she was easily able to explain things to me.

My Mom is cool. I only talk with her maybe once a month tho. We're close... just not dependent. icon_razz.gif

There's nothing wrong with having a good relationship between you and your parents. It's something more people should invest in!

I'm not really close with her, she's an alcoholic. Although I still wouldn't want anyone else for a mom, she was tough enough to deal with me growing up.

I have a love/hate relationship with my mom. We talk fairly regularly (average once a week or so), but we strongly disagree about a whole bunch of stuff, from religion to sexuality/sin to finances. The good part is I'm a bullheaded mother fucker who won't let her sway me. icon_cool.gif
