Excellent! It's been a long time overdue for the Democratic Party to stop allowing other parties to falsely paint themselves as THE party of "family values".

Other parties are giving "family values" a bad name with their xenophobia and antediluvian, narrow judgement on just what a "family" is, and what those "family values" should be.

Yes, family values is Republican dog whistle language to social conservatives who think accepting gays means you're anti-family.

Good to see we're taking the label back.

    Family values:

Me and my gay brother and his husband and son and daughter in law and grandson (hah, our generation double dipped) and my str8 brother and his wife and their kids (my nephews and nieces) and my bi female cousin and her hubby and adopted son all enjoying time together, quite peacefully.

    Nicely said.

And we will live to see it become reality.

For a while the GOP claimed to have a monopoly on the entire idea of "values."
Remember the term "values voter" ? They even got the media parroting that line.
    Major bullsh*t.
Our values are just as important to us as theirs are to them.
