I'm really not... The first one just wasn't my type of movie (X-Men aside, superhero movies rarely do it for me). And for all that Christian Bale is worth a look or three, everytime he opens his mouth I wanna blow my brains out (don't even get me started on that "accent" in The Prestige).

A whole bunch of other people I work in film with are going to see it this weekend, but as my roomate (also in film) isn't ready to see it yet because of the Ledger-factor, I might keep her company in some other movie so we can still go drinking with the rest of them after.

Woops, I seem to be terribly unclear today. We work in the film industry and we were all going to go watch Dark Knight after a screening of one of our films.

I'm looking forward to it, but not nearly as much as my partner. I think he said something about getting us tickets for the premier on Friday.

I really should listen more.

I am not a big fan of superhero movies, but I must admit the Batman movies are probably the best of the lot. The trailers for "The Dark Knight" really impressed me. Heath Ledger looks like a truly psychopathic and disturbed joker. So wonder the poor guy was spooked by the role.

I generally dislike superhero movies. The special-effects circle jerk gets old. But Batman Begins was a great movie and this one looks like it will be one hell of a sequel.

I'm all over it. I'm actually watching "Batman: Gotham Knight" right now. It's a 6-episode anime collection that keeps the continuity of the current movie storyline.

I'm totally psyched to see the movie - since it filmed all around me, and even has some of my friends as extras! the film is the talk of the town this week, just wish Heath was here to enjoy the accolades...

Absolutely want to see it if for no other reason than I am sure the performance of Heath Ledger will be worth the price of admission and, based on the hype, probably award-worthy. Plus, I think Christian Bale is one sexy Batman. Should be interesting to see him in "The Terminator" in Summer '09 too.

Hella Yeah,

Down with Batman always! I read the comics, watch his cartoon. Friend of mine scored tickets to check out an advanced screening here in Toronto and thought it was the best thing since the invention of the sun.

I am! I AM!!

I've been a fan of Batman since childhood, but always preferred the comic interpretation compared to the campy TV show. But Tim Burton's 1989 original along with Christopher Nolan's current incarnation are the best of the bunch. But between Burton or Nolan, Nolan's is the humanistic best! I still love the sequence with young Bruce Wayne and his father (played by Linus Roache) -- so touching and amazingly well done!

And I'm not to ashamed to admit I have a Batman model figure adorning my home office desk, too.

I just saw it. OHHHH MYY GOD, it was sooo good. Soo soo so good. The acting is very good by Heath Ledger and the music is also well done with two composers I think. It's also a lot more intense and has a lot of great moments. After watching it, I am still contemplating its greatness in awe.

Haha, and the tattooed prisoner was in the theater with me.

I think they did an amazing job with it all around, I was really impressed! Great job of adapting the story to a movie and keeping the same feel, and so much of it was so intense! I almost never see midnight movies because I tend to fall asleep, but this rocked.

I wanna be Batman when I grow up.

Batman Begins sucked ASS! I was so bored it wasn't even funny when I went to see it.

I'll see this one on GP alone, but even though people are talking about a posthumous Oscar for Ledger's portrayl of the Joker, i fear that the character, like Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul (and the Batmobile), will have been so seriously perverted from the comic book that it will make me pissy.

Check back for my feelings on it after i've seen it...

Same Bat-time
Same Bat-channel

Just saw the movie yesterday, and I think it was VERY well done! The film plays like a Micheal Mann movie ("Heat"), taking it's time while featuring great performances all-around of each top-notch actor involved in The Dark Knight.

But without a doubt, Heath Ledger is the most mesmerizing in the film. He has certainly delivered an interpretation of the Joker for the ages -- manical, twisted, without criminal rules, scruples, and not an ounce of humanity.

My recommendation: See it! It is a gripping action-drama executed with intellect and style.

I saw it yesterday and it was even better than I thought it would be. All of the actors were great, but Heath was truly scary as the Joker. I never thought the Joker was an interesting villain but this movie turned him into the psycho he should be. I was glad the special effects didn't dominate the movie and the story actually made sense (which is rare in action movies).
