    Interesting group of new designers..

that was an interesting show...but I thought the designers would have been better. They all sounded so good at the beginning. But blech...they sure didnt perform that well. ...well, it gives them a LOT of room to grow over the season. ... icon_rolleyes.gif

that guy that got the ax deserved it...but so did the lady with him. She only squeeked by because his was positively scary.

Imagine the humilitation to be the FIRST one eliminated!

I'm just glad I caught the beginning of this season right from the start. I also thought it was a good show.

Considering how many designers there were, there was a fair share of creative works. I was a tad surprised how many grabbed table cloths and shower curtains though. LOL!!

I loved the preview where the one guy's dress gets called a pterodactyl from gay Jurassic Park. LOL!

I've never even seen it but I hear there are a lot of gay boys on it this season! And I hear some of them are cute! (As in cuter than Christian, and fiercer!) icon_wink.gif

i LOVE that show and its the only thing i watch religiously on tv (its a mom/son activity). tonight's episode was... disappointing.

in the beginning intros, they all had stuff that looked the same- trendy poorly made 80's retro pop garbage. only one or two of them seem capable of sophistication! not much creativity in this episode, specifically, either. they had their pick of anything in that grocery store and they all picked table cloths and shower curtains to make clothes of. i'm just glad they didn't grab towels. its not about taking the easiest route, its about being different and innovative and creative. their designs weren't even that great GIVEN the fact that they chose the easiest materials! the blue cup dress guy shoulda won- he thought outside the box and pulled it off. anyways- did you see Austin's silk blazer in the end? i WANT ONE.

looking forward to next weeks- its hard in the early episodes to get any kind of a feel about most of the ppl on the show.

I've never seen Project Runway, but I have met several people from the Show. I've seen Jack once at a club. He's that really hot guy that was on the same season as Christian. Jack is so hot in person!

I thought this video of Christian Siriano was hilarious!!

I don't have cable (don't watch much TV), and not friends with the people I used to watch it with, so I'm hoping Bravo pimps it on reruns the next time I'm out at my parent's house. It makes me very sad .. any Realjockers wanna let me borrow their TV Wednesday nights?

I'm actually a little surprised Bravo doesn't offer viewing of episodes online like most of the other networks do. If I knew how to copy them from my DVR to the web, I would. But, alas I haven't figured that out just yet. LOL!

Is it odd that I find Tim Gunn attractive? Not sexy-attractive, but sweet-attractive...

I love Project Runway. It takes me back to my childhood when I would design dresses for my mother. Why did she let me do that?

Ok, so here's an actual question I have for everyone . .

Since Project Runway was sold to Lifetime in April, (to begin airing in Novemeber 2008.) do you think this season is rushed and may be of less quality so Bravo could spit out one last season? I read that the show was filmed in June, which fits in nicely to that prediction.

I'm not sure what I'll think of the show when it moves. Watching Project Runway got me hooked on other Bravo shows, such as Make me a Supermodel or the Real Housewives series. I can't imagine what sort of "my teenage daughter is pregnant, suicidal, into hard drugs and lactating" movie Lifetime will start promoting in between product placements.

I have a feeling it will lose its' touch too--it's already changing production, as the people who produced it for Bravo were signed exclusively to the channel. There's rumor Bunim-Murray will start producing it, who are the same people that started "The Real World" . . ugh.

It hardly seems worthwhile for Bravo to put a lot into "making it work" this season, since they'll just be promoting a brand that's moving to another network. In fact, that would be pretty snarky if they purposely sabotaged the season . .

Isn't it also moving to LA? I think that alone will make it less appealing to me. I just connect more with shows filmed in NYC since I lived there for a while and actually miss it a great deal.

I think it was Top Design which was filmed in LA and I just never got as attached to it as Project Runway. The Apprentice tanked too after it moved. icon_smile.gif

I thought for sure she would be the one to go. His design looked like it took at least some effort. Hers was just a roll of garbage bags.

I found the designers and most of their designs to be dull. The girl who won with the stained vacuum bags was an easy choice. Most of the rest...wow. No interesting personalities, either. At least not yet.

Here's hoping it picks up next week.

The dress with the vacuum bags was a pretty cool idea.. I was pretty bummed when most of them made a bee line for the tablecloth aisle and none of them did too much with the material.

and the tattooed one (Keith?) pretty Hot icon_smile.gif

I thought Keith was hot too. He had some guns on him.

And I could tell that Jerry was going home last night. Besides his awful outfit, he was simply too boring for TV. This is Bravo! It's not a show with boring people. There needs to be drama!

And you can check the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (the one with Batman Dark Knight on the cover) and there's an article about the transition of PR to Lifetime.

BTW, did you notice that Nina Garcia's title is Editor At Large? She used to be the Fashion Director, and from what I understand she's now at Marie Claire. Interesting.

According to After Elton 7 out of 8 of the male designers are all out and

Keith and Wesley are part of lucky number 7.

Hum, im already bored and it was the first airing. Where are the personalties. Unlike the pass seasons none of them really have a LOOK, that i can really say is sick. Im talking about as far as personal style, the big guy with the blue Mohawk just looks rude. The only thing can i can say i like was Keith, the guy with the tattoo on his arm, now hes sexy......And where in the hell are the flag ship queens! Every season their is at the lest three on to make things more interesting. These people seem, a bit to normal for my taste. But, i will still be watching none the less.
