This has been evident from the get-go. What I look forward to seeing is how he'll try to swing somewhat closer to the middle to persuade moderate voters. But his threat of cutting of Planned Parenthood and his criticism of the withdrawal from Iraq won't be helping his chances.

Sorry to see you got stuck with a dud. Better luck in 2016. icon_biggrin.gif

It’s a Massachusetts thing ... Romney, Kerry, Dukakis and HW Bush .... all at least somewhat uncomfortable in their own skin.

No this stiff and cold bearing coming from Romney isn't a 'Massachusetts thing', afterall, he was raised in the same state I was, Michigan.

Its simple with Romney, his stiff and cold bearing is natural with him and a necessary trait for the work he did of destroying company's and their employees lives for the sake of his profits. A person like him has to be cold and calculating to do that kind of work, the rest of us have a heart and wouldn't be a party to such a business of cutting off the income of 100's and 1000's of families throughout the years. Is this who we really want to lead our nation ?

    I don’t understand it. He’s so awkward.

Come out of the liberal closet Mitt! We all know what you are. You’re not fooling us by pandering to the right as you’re anything but.

Only in the company of strangers. I understand he's supposed to be very warm with his friends and family -- probably because they are just like him.

It's probably a combination of 1) patrician upbringing and 2) a strict and/or repressed, insulated lifestyle centered around conformity, clean, sober living rather than the back-slapping, gregarious, oversexed pop culture that typifies the social lives of the rest of us.

What others perceive as his awkwardness has less to do with conservative politics as it does with a very conservative lifestyle.

To my way of thinking, Romney is not in touch with average everyday American life and the longer this campaign goes on the more this fact will be exposed. The Romneys cannot help themselves, but to act out just who they are and that is anything but the American norm, they cannot relate !!! period !!! and its getting more and more obvious by the day. Romney can try all he wants, but he cannot change what he is.

Where the hell is Palin to tell us how elite the Romneys are? More Republican Conservative Hypocrisy me'thinks !!!

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a good man raised in a good family who is rich and successful running for President. It should not disqualify him.

Romney's wealth does not disqualify him. The fact that he is completely out of touch with the vast majority of Americans issues is what disqualifies him.

Problem is ..... To appease the rabid republican base

He's had to create a false impression of himself and he's basically lying through his teeth to do it

There's No Way he could have been nominated ... Or even get close to the nomination if he Didn't lie

    Hence the ETCH-A-SKETCH gaffe

I'm comfortable with Romney being president of the local Rotary club, since it's the only presidency he'll ever get elected to.

Yeah correct, I did NOT say president of what !

You caught my expert effort at trolling.

I'll take a Silkwood Bath later

Quote.... If Obama wins any one of the following ... Florida... Ohio ... Virginia or North Carolina it's game over for the GOP... Unquote

Rick Scott...... Boys on FILM .... HATE HIM

    Rick Kasich? ... LOL

Bob McDonald? .... hey won't he be a GREAT running Mate ?

And North Catolina Obama carried pretty well last time

But unless the republican party can put a Malo Tov Cocktail into the recovering economy they don't have a prayer

LOL !!! Yah !!! Romney should go with Brewer, "SHE'S OUR 'MAN' ?" errrrr------uh --------- woman who try's to 'out man the men' with her hardened stance on everything.

If Romney chooses anyone of the far right repub governors or even a previous one like Jeb Bush, he'll still lose because the public has seen first hand what these far righters have done on social issues and we don't want their crap coming into control of Washington. Besides even Jeb Bush cannot dress up Romney's coldness and inability to relate to the common voter.
