Get him a token such as this book...

    dr-seuss.jpg

    Then give him killer brain.

Save the money for student loans and for that 21 trip.

    Last resort: a nice pen

I have 2 nieces graduating from college and 1 from high school. And a friend graduating from college.

if you can make the bill, a nice ballpoint pen i think would be nice. I'd recommend an A.T. Cross Classic Century (or anything from A.T. Cross) as opposed to the $19.99 crap they put out on the aisle. The 10k rolled gold model has the benefit of being affordable (as opposed to the solid 18k model) but also more durable than something that's merely gold-plated. You can have it engraved as well if you want.

Good idea. They can use it when they sign the Vermont issued marriage license.

    1. Take him out for a romantic setting and when things cant get any better, hit him with a "surprise party"

    2. Send him roses, with a romantic note (WRITTEN) attached to it

There are many ideas HOWEVER you know your BF so much better than we do. Be confident that you will find a way to give him something he will remember. Good luck man =D

I'm definitely thinking of something romantic, I can't help but go with the romantic option.

It's looking like a really nice dinner then going to see if people want to meet us later for drinks. And I plan on buying little gifts just so he has something to show for it.
