Scientists: Optimism Prevents Heart Attacks
GreenHopper saidEasy.. because it alleviates stress... stress causes release of adrenaline, increases heart rate, causes the heart muscle to get less oxygen (because it pumps harder), lack of oxygen leads to death of the heart muscles, which leads to heart attack..... when the heart relaxes more, it gives time for the heart muscle to become well-oxygenated.. hence, more optimism = less heart attack! That adrenaline also irritates the vascular walls and those irritated sites attract plaque!
