    You can roll your eyes all you want, but the article states that the bill is expected to pass in the House, which is dominated by Republicans.

    I guess Republicans are supportive of the "General Welfare" too icon_biggrin.gif

    I had thought this had been the case for quite a long time. Even as far back as my 98 Vette, it had an event data recorder. What we have to watch out for however, is OBD 3, which gives the 'authorities' the ability to monitor real time.

    While I was still serving, the Ministry of Defence rolled out a scheme where data recorders were installed in road vehicles. I have to say that I was more conscious of my driving speed and awareness when I drove in vehicles in which this device was installed.
