My macrame "Tree of Life." What you don't see in this picture is that the tree is three-dimensional. You can push and pull leaves and branches in and out for a different look. The size is 12" x 25" long and it took 10 hours to make plus materials. Email me an offer if you'd like to purchase it for your home or as a gift.

Update: Getting bids on my "Tree of Life" on ebay! Here's the link if you'd like to bid as well. Help out a fellow RJ member and own this unique, one-of-a-kind piece. icon_wink.gif

"Tree of Life" in Progress. I'm going to die of a jute furball.

    Other recent work:

Isn't he cute! Yep, I've gone over the edge and made a macrame owl. Total length of 13", the body fits in the palm of your hand. How could you not want one of your own?

    vicsowl.jpg

Sure beats my ugly macrame tree. Finished a one-of-a-kind macrame wind chime. Notice the wine corks in the top and bottom. I intended to make a plant hanger, but underestimated the amount of jute used in that spiral up top. This will be a gift for a friend. I just know I'm moments away from making owls.

My ugly tree, in case you forgot:

You removed the rest of your comment. You said you liked my tree and thought it was Salvador Dali-esque. It's OK to say good things. icon_wink.gif

Wrestlervic, this is all a side to you I'd never thought I'd see. Do you come out of that wrestling ring, pick up your knitting-nancy and just get at it?

I did a ton of string art back in the day. Never took to sand art, though.

Thanks! Believe it or not, those owls take awhile. I think it was three hours last night. 24 cords get tangled easily.

My gawd, it's an Ent! You could have made a fortune creating miniatures for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

I've named my owl "Joey." He was born of a $1 roll of thin Jute from Dollar General, two O-rings and two beads for eyes, plus bamboo shoot perches courtesy of The Dollar Tree. I take the Macrame Owl oath to proudly display him and feed him and luv him and kiss him and cuddle him...until that day I say, "I really need to get rid of some of this sh*t." icon_wink.gif
