    Show us your dream home.

I just found this home online that I would just love, assuming an ability to upkeep it and pay for the property taxes (over $370k/yr) on it...eeekkkk...

The inside is a bit too fancy for me...but I can deal with it. ;) I think that I would spend most of my time outside anyways. I would totally get canoes and gondolas to play in my little lake or whatever that is.

    a treehouse...

or a wooden boat, preferably with sails...

one of those houses fashioned into the rock would work too...

or just something very quaint and small, not too large to lose yourself in, and not too showy, that blends in nicely with the surroundings and has a pleasant, uncomplicated, rustic feel

but not a house on land right next to the beach... being close to the water comes with too many issues, I know all too well (lived there once)

I have always wanted the 'big house' (more specifically, a big old georgian pile, they would be amazing for house parties).

This one seems to be the bargain of the century, for anyone with a few million to spare.

I'm not much of a massive home person...My parents' house is just north of 8,000 square feet and it's overwhelming and, in my opinion, kind of "cold".

I'd be perfectly happy in a high-rise condo in downtown San Diego with a couple of nice cars in the parking structure.

My dream home would be a 2/2 <2000 sq ft. and 40'+ ceilings. Ceilings are never high enough imo.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI prefer something modern and minimal. I don't need more than two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second bedroom would be for guests to stay.

I'd say, no more than 1500 to 2,000 square feet.

I'm a big fan of all glass wall panels such as:/>

Hmm I like modern, but I prolly would forego glass...

that said, by the time I make the orphanage / old folks home / animal shelter, you should have some input if you want to come live there icon_wink.gif

Well, as far as spaces that actually exist, I love deadmau5's hard loft (formerly three separate units) in Toronto. I have friends that are just two doors down the hall:

I think he's bought out a fourth unit and is in the process of adding it...

Well this place has just come on the market. It seems that since adopting Casper, Christmas Past and Christmas Future need a new crib...

My dream home is a tower that goes way up in the sky so no one can see in, and all of the noise from the ground is far away.

No bugs, no mice, no birds.
Clouds are all that can be seen most days.
I can sing my loudest in the girliest of notes to I'm Every Woman and not a soul will know.
There are no corners for dirt to get stuck in, it all just slides down curves.
There is sunlight in all directions but with the push of a button, 100% blockout is achieved.
There is tons of garden space in the 360-degree patio around the tower with all of my blue flowers lining it.
Great Internet, backup generators in case of outages.
High counters, high toilet. nothing catered to the old, the fat or children.
A vertical bathtub/computer chair for multitasking.
An awesome downwhooshy chair for getting to the surface level when required.
Everything in shades of blue, purple and turqoise.
