What do you wear when you run in the summer?

Hey! Summer is nearly here, and I'm looking forward to running in next-to-nothing around town. I work hard to keep a fit and trim body - I don't know if that means I can "get away with it," but I'm still at it icon_biggrin.gif What do you wear for your summer runs? How minimal will you go (in addition to the thin, short running shorts, I've been known to run in very small, athletic boxer briefs)? Maybe I'm the only exhibitionist runner icon_biggrin.gif

I wear underarmor spandex-type skin tight shirts and running shorts with sunglasses and baseball cap. I'm trying to minimize sun damage and not dehydrate as fast as people who go skin to sun. I sweat more than most people, so the underarmor shirts keep sweat on me long enough for it to evaporate rather than just rolling off my body and wasting water.

I hate putting on sunscreen too, so the more areas covered up, the fewer areas I have to spend on sunscreen application.

I think most runners just like a big show of pec bouncing...yall are no better than the guy who grunts at the gym every rep.

Shorts and shoes only. I add a shirt if I'm in a race or it's below 70 degrees.

Depending on where I'm running, there are times when I'll in only my compression shorts.

I wear loose-fitting Under Armor shorts and shirts. I also wear the Under Armor no-slip socks. I'm not comfortable going shirtless, and this is what keeps me the coolest.

Shoes and fairly short running shorts.

I get way too bored laying out to tan so that's how I justify being pretty much naked

This*^ As a displaced Arizonan, I can vouch for this as my reason to get more done with less.icon_wink.gif

Personally, I think it's best to wear shorts and a shirt/tank top while running. Maybe it's the way I was raised: "When in public, err on the side of modesty if possible." Just my two cents.

Good point. Sun damage is one of those things that seems so "distant," but I know that's foolish/ignorance. I'm better now at putting on sunscreen than I used to be (still like the skin).

Running shorts with some sort of lining to keep everything in place. Usually shirtless. Much more comfortable that way. And Puma Faas 500 shoes.

These are smokin'! It looks like you can definitely "pull it off." Though I have a hard time finding them, I like my running shorts to have the highest slits possible. Here are some fun examples:
